@PalmyrPar Making Snape Black and Draco a Wasian Hapa completely match their race to their personalities. This might unfortunately be wokekino

@PalmyrPar Snape’s primary character trait is resentment. Draco’s primary character trait is his daddy issues. Who better to cast than a Black man and a Wasian Hapa?

@tbs6253 @WarmasterYuuka @AnonymousLeftie Larp Larp Larp. Every political scientist worth their salt tells you revolutions are reported to be impossible and then when they happen they’re described as if they were inevitable. If America does collapse you’ll talk about how obvious it was

@WarmasterYuuka @AnonymousLeftie ideas and personalities push the scales sometimes but the basis of like 80% of history is material. whoever improves, or has convinced people they will improve, material conditions, will win the idea/culture war. this is true for the educated as well.

@tbs6253 @Daniel96525632 @AnonymousLeftie Syria pre-Arab spring was not "barely functioning" are you delusional. And the modern US economy is not that much less insane than the late-stage soviet one, if America ever collapses you lot would be saying the same exact thing about it.

@WarmasterYuuka @Daniel96525632 @AnonymousLeftie syria collapsed because it was already a barely functioning state that had a 90s russia style economy for 20 years straight with a government that shot people for minor infractions, surrounded by failed states and full of foreign-armed insurgents. it's not comparable.

@tbs6253 @AnonymousLeftie Terminal materialist brainrot. Humans are fundamentally idealist, and given an educated populace, the less Americans have the more idealistic they will get. An American with no prospects and no future is much likelier to fight to the death than one with a lot to lose.

@WarmasterYuuka @AnonymousLeftie people with nothing left to lose would actually care less about a radical faction taking power. people who have families, stable income, any hope for the future, etc would be much more opposed to radical destructive change, no?

@tbs6253 @Daniel96525632 @AnonymousLeftie America is not Syria. America will be a lot worse. The reason why ISIS went so far in Syria is because Syria suffered from the perfect storm of coddled city dwellers with too much to lose, an immiserated countryside, and low military morale. Just like the US.

@WarmasterYuuka @Daniel96525632 @AnonymousLeftie that's because you play too many hearts of iron 4 mods. all the actual indices for civil war or civil unrest just aren't there. america is not syria, not even close. i would heavily advise against living your life under the assumption that such a thing will occur.

@tbs6253 @AnonymousLeftie >most people still have a LOT 2 lose And that's a BAD thing. The worst case scenario for the far-right would be that people have nothing to lose and will fight them tooth and nail. Just think about it? How many civvies will resist and how many will just grab the next flight out

@tbs6253 @AnonymousLeftie The Fire Rises simulates a war of attrition and mobilization that the Far-Right is guaranteed to lose, anyone who bases their perception around it is delusional. >it would require a perfect storm... A catastrophic economic collapse and military funding uncertainty would be enuf

@tbs6253 @Daniel96525632 @AnonymousLeftie I can totally see a world where a White Nationalist uprising overruns an already demoralized US army with a lighting offensive, with entire army units disintegrating on impact due to lack of orders, nationalist sympathies, and just a general lack of will to stand their ground.

@Daniel96525632 @WarmasterYuuka @AnonymousLeftie rome was pressed on all sides and had faced on and off civil war, crisis, coups, for like 300 years at that point. who would even be our "goths"? do you think an armed horde of guatemalans will capture Washington and declare themselves rulers of the United States?

@tbs6253 @AnonymousLeftie I mean ya? This is completely possible, not today, the average US soldier is still too motivated, but I can easily imagine a scenario where morale is so low that the average soldier refuses to fight to the death and the army just disintegrates on impact like in Syria.

Indonesia (and other Southeast Asian Muslim countries) is a fascinating case. It’s low consanguinity, and similarly has low overrepresentation in German migrant sexual assault crimes (looking more like Filipino performance). This seems to indicate that it’s not just that migrants from Islamic countries outperform in sexual assaults. It’s Muslim migrants specifically from Horn of Africa, middle eastern, North Africa and south asian countries that are particularly problematic when it comes to sexual assault.

@TeapotDoomer @AnonymousLeftie Gumba fallacy. Your overweight divorced MAGA unc posting about Civil War is a complete lolcow. Active Clubs posting edits of themselves doing military drills in the woods is a lot more serious than what most Americans think.

@AnonymousLeftie To be fair, Syria also is a lot poorer than America, and the type of Americans who would competently fight in a civil war and the ones who loudly proclaim "MUH CIVIL WAR" are two entirely different people
