That’s nonsense, £21807 is well below minimum wage for a full time worker .. at least have your facts right before you blurt out random numbers .. A full time working only 35 hours would be earning at least £22222 on minimum wage.. working 40 hours full time, they’d be on £25396.

A single parent with three kids currently gets £20,978 in benefits. Without the two-child cap, it would jump to £24,491 well above what a full-time minimum wage worker takes home - £21,807 (@thetimes). Why work at all if benefits pay more?

@thameswater PLEASE HELP!! A smart metre has been installed on an incoming shared main into ours and our neighbours house and registered to them. They are now paying for our water too-and cannot get a resolve! We’ve now received a letter to say one has been installed for us….

@englandislost My 20 year old Son with a genetic syndrome with severe learning difficulties, just started his 3rd year of college further education. A course designed to help people learn vital life skills and the hope of ‘finding’ employment. Local council has cut his funding for transport!

An 18 year old born in the UK, unemployed and living at home, gets £0 direct support. No housing, no allowance, nothing. Parents are expected to carry the cost. An 18 year old arriving illegally is housed by the government and given £49 a week (£2,560 a year) plus free accommodation. In dispersal housing that costs taxpayers £14.41 a night ( £5,260 a year). In hotels it rockets to £145 a night ( £52,900 a year). Add it up and the taxpayer is shelling out anywhere between £8k and £55k per person, per year. So our own young people are told to fend for themselves, while those who break the law are housed, fed and paid for. This is not compassion, it is madness. @ZiaUsaf_ welfare needs total reform for immigrants, legal and illegal. They should be entitled to nothing until they have positively contributed to this country.
