🦞Club Statement🦞
Club Update
We were reported to the @ComCoFL by Jersey Bulls after the final game of the season, triggering an investigation into playing an ineligible player in December 2024.
We have been working closely with both the FA and League to assist them in their investigations. The ineligibility of the player arose from receiving 5 cautions before the 31st December cut-off date, however only 4 were entered in Whole Game System when we checked. Whole Game System is the system we are required to manage discipline within.
Our case was heard on 2 May by the FA, and we were found guilty; the matter was then passed on to the Combined Counties League. We submitted our Plea of Mitigation to the League late Tuesday evening and our hearing took place this afternoon. The League found against us and will proceed to issue points deduction and fine; we await their correspondence.
As a club, we feel we had 'exceptional' circumstances due to the omission of a match official to update the Whole Game System with cautions. As it stands today, the player in question is still only showing 4 cautions before the 31st of December, and has not been processed for a 5th caution in October, which would have taken him over the threshold to receive an automatic 1-match suspension in December.
We would once again like to take this opportunity to say a massive thank you to our players, the management team, Committee members, volunteers, sponsors, and, most importantly, our incredible Lobsters Army for their patience and understanding during this process.
@JClark_8 and the players will now turn their focus to preparing for the Play Offs while the club considers its next actions and whether we will be submitting an appeal.

@grs_67@JerseyBullsFC To be fair, I can’t argue with that. The way Redhill kept on going yesterday & getting a winner in the final minutes was brilliant. What drama, so fully deserved ⚽️👊🏻
This evening Jersey Bulls FC have been notified of a 3-point deduction and a £120 for fielding an ineligible player against Tooting and Mitcham FC recently.
Administrative staff at Jersey Bulls FC realised an error had been made and reported it to the League and Jersey FA immediately. Despite efforts to set out the significant mitigation the decision based on the lack of clarity on the number of yellow cards, the Combined Counties League have confirmed the 3-point deduction.
As the club considers it's options, we'd like to apologise to our amazing players and coaching staff, and ask that our fantastic supporters rally behind the team at this crucial stage of the season.
@thedogholeboy@guildfordcityfc So the goal scorer Jake is clearly onside. So it can only be deemed offside if another player is in the goalkeepers line of sight. Which by the looks of it, doesn’t happen. 🤔
@guildfordcityfc@TMUnited_Org Wishing you all the best in your new footballing journey. Not just a great footballer but a character around the dressing room. Hopefully will cross paths again ⚽️👊🏻
Conditions was awful for both sides. Some decisions by the ref were off, never a red card for you guys & probably not a penalty at the end, but a great game of football. Great sides always find a way. So good luck on getting promotion. Hopefully we can kick on & climb the league & hopefully get a good cup run. See you later on the season!
We would like to thank @guildfordcityfc for their hospitality today. A young, talented team whose league position is not a true reflection of their ability. Unlucky to not take something from the game today, played in truly awful conditions. A shout out to our players too, simply no quit in them. 💪
