As I have said consistently, President Biden should stop this tortured nonsense immediately. In exchange for former President Trump dropping out of the race for the White House, Biden should pardon him for any and all federal allegations.

I find it extremely disturbing that this group of White Supremacists showed up in the Republican majority city of Centerville, Texas, chanting "White Power." I also find it extremely disturbing that Republicans are making outlandish claims that these are really the Feds creating a false flag operation. I also find it extremely disturbing that those on the left are taking a small fringe group of neo-nazis and trying to paint all Republicans in this same light. There are bad people. There are people who take things to the extremes. Instead of blaming someone else, how about just blaming the people who are actually doing these things? Just because you are a Republican, doesn't mean you can't stand up to a fringe group of people who don't represent who you are. Just because you are a Democrat, doesn't mean you have to blame an entire political party for what a fringe group of bigots chant. We all need to take a step back and call out bigotry and hatred for what it is.

As the left calls for more laws on gun purchases, Republicans like Greg Abbott offer their thoughts and prayers yet again. Many on the right claim that almost any law Democrats want to create would violate the 2nd Amendment. Let’s discuss. The Second Amendment does in fact protect gun ownership, but let's examine what has been done in the past. In 1934, because of the fact that short-barreled shotguns, machine guns and silencers were deemed to be a threat to public safety, they were banned unless you go through a specific process. This was part of the National Firearms Act. For the last 90 years it has been much more difficult to buy a short-barreled shotgun. First you need to fill out an ATF Form 4, then you need to pay a $200 tax along with providing your fingerprints, and then you must wait between 200 days and over a year to get approved for the purchase. Do you know who supported this pseudo-ban on short-barreled rifles in 1934? THE NRA! So my argument is that if Short-barreled shotguns, Machine guns, and short-barreled rifles can be highly restricted and tracked, then so too can other guns which Congress deems to be a threat to public safety -- most notably AR-15 style firearms. If this were really a violation of 2A, then you would think that it would have been overturned in the past 90 years, right? I'm all for protecting our 2nd Amendment. So let's talk common sense. Of course restrictions like this won't prevent every mass shooting, but if it can save 1 child's life, isn't it worth it? Honestly?

They say "Good guys with guns stop bad guys with guns," even though it rarely happens. In this case at a Nashville Walgreens, a pregnant woman was shot multiple times by a man who thought he was a "good guy". Details: - A Walgreens employee suspected 2 women possibly stealing items - The employee followed them outside to their car. - The pregnant women sprayed mace at the employee who then shot at them with a semi-automatic pistol that he was carrying thanks to Tennessees new laws. - The woman was forced to have a C-section - Both baby and mother are expected to survive. Oftentimes the good guys with guns are trigger-happy and end of shooting people that don't deserve to be shot, and rarely do they fend off actual "bad guys with guns".
