When your PhD over-qualifies you for entry-level jobs while also leaving you under-qualified for a senior-level position:

A woman is dead. Murdered by her husband. The Daily Mail choose to speculate if this is due to her having a career. It is never her career. Or her clothes. Or her choice to be out alone. Tackling male violence should be a national priority. We seem further from that than ever.

Working on the (hopefully 🤞) final comments on my entire thesis is more emotional than I ever expected, but sad emotions not euphoric. No one warns you it kind of feels like grief #phdchat
