Gov. McMaster has closed all SC schools for rest of school year. GCS students will continue eLearning through June 4. Teachers will continue to post assignments through Google Classroom for grades 3-12, and Choice Boards will be posted on website and at food sites for grades K-2.

Mrs. Ensley’s students were among Washington Center classes who attended the #SECWBB Women’s Basketball Tournament. While at the tournament, @GatorsWBK Florida Gator teammates visited students bringing gifts of hand painted pictures & tickets. It was unforgettable experience!

Valentine’s Day is a festive event at Washington Center. Senior classes of 2020 & 2021 were spotlighted during the 21st year of the school’s annual Valentine’s Day Dance. After student presentations, everyone participated in a celebratory dance.

Washington Center students are especially excited about their partnership with @LadyVol_Hoops Tennessee Women's Basketball Team. Students & players have corresponded creating a Lady Vol fan base on campus. The team sent fan swag to help students cheer the Lady Vols.

Ms. Kennedy’s class studied "The Mitten" by Jan Brett. Students enjoyed learning about characters, animals, and events in the story and created snow for a unique, hands-on sensory experience.
