Almost fainted in theatre today. Got force fed jelly babies, sugary coffee and chocolate cake by the nurses who were unbelievably kind.. the docs less so 😂 won’t live it down for a while 😬 Long day, not much sleep, no food.. but I think I just had my helmet on far too tight 🙈

Everyone is trying their best but the lack of any IT services is dysfunctional. Might be the most concerned I've been about patient safety. Possibilities of missed results, missed follow ups etc. Worse when considering understaffed on call services.

This isn't really about losing 300 interns for a year, it's about losing these 300 doctors for the rest of their careers. Intern year is an investment in the future. If these doctors go elsewhere after graduation, they are very unlikely to ever come back to Ireland to practice.
