On Sunday,29/05/22 @AlloaAthWFC created history with their first league win since the club formed at Recreation Park earlier in the year. Bernard, Williams & Connell went into the history books as The Wasps scorers whose goals assisted in achieving the historic victory.

Alloa Athletic achieved promotion in season 1938–39. After 5 games WW2 ended the season. Post war re-organisation of the Scottish leagues saw The Wasps placed back into Division Two.

In Season 1988/89, Wasps boss & former Wasps player, Gregor Abel guided his side to the quarter final of the Scottish Cup & promotion. A side which included Mungo McCallum, Gus Smith, Ronnie Lowrie & Billy Blackie (the fastest player in Scottish football). youtu.be/x6Jl__uigl0

Alloa Athletic's first post WW2 manager was James 'Jimmy' Scrymagour Crapnell in season 1945/46. 'Jimmy' had previously played for Cambuslang, Airdrieonians & Motherwell. He was also capped 9 times for Scotland before arriving at The Recs.
