Jesus Christ is my LORD and Savior! and I love to Fight the Good Fight

The Greek word theotēs (θεότης, Strong's #2320) means "deity," "godhead," or "divine nature". It refers specifically to the state of being God—the essential nature of divinity—rather than just divine qualities. It is famously used in Colossians 2:9 to describe the full essence of God dwelling in Christ. Alpha and Omega Ministries +3 •Definition: Derived from theos(God), it means "the state of being God," much like "humanity" is the state of being human. •Biblical Usage: Appears only once in the New Testament, in Colossians 2:9: "For in him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead [theotētos] bodily". •Distinction: Theotēs (deity/essence) is distinct from theiotēs(divinity/quality, used in Romans 1:20). Theotēs represents the absolute essence of God, not just divine attributes. •Context: It asserts that the complete nature of God is embodied, not just a portion of it.
