@wickedphysick @kunley_drukpa Send evidence… and men could collapse the birth rate alone too, if they wanted. It’s both. Women don’t want to go through childbirth and give up their free time. Men don’t want to spend their money and give up their free time.

@Wattybanger @kunley_drukpa It only takes one to collapse the birth rate, actually. Men still want to have children, it's women who don't

This is 2026. People cosplaying as things they don’t have the authority, the talent, or the track record to actually be. Just for content. A mayor playing president. A founder playing operator. A content creator playing one-on-one thinking he’s a pro. A 25yr old with a ring light playing economist. Everyone auditioning. Nobody building. Were raising a generation that learning the reward isn’t in doing the thing it’s in looking like you did the thing. The clip is the career. The pose is the product. The soundbite is the substitute for a life’s work. Don't fall for distractions

I support data centers. I support flock cameras. I support Palantir. I support Peter Thiel. You said you wanted a “right-wing authoritarian,” right? Time to put up or shut up. You can win or you can lose, but you will NEVER be left alone. It’s time to shed that last little bit of libertarian impulse and join the winning team.

@PaulSkallas Is it not beneficial for us to prevent wars in the future between our allies, that we will inevitably be involved in no matter who the president is???

This is not entirely true. Palestine simply got absorbed into the eternal Progressive omnicause, it didn’t displace it. Try winning a Democrat primary while opposing transgenderism, DEI, and open borders. Refusing to support even one is nigh impossible. Opposing all three is a political death sentence. Palestine and Gaza has simply joined the pantheon of untouchable theological commitments on the Left.
Shadi Hamid@shadihamid

Palestine has replaced wokeness as the progressive "litmus test." Even if you're a center-left Democrat who's not particularly pro-Palestine, this should be seen as a good thing. It's a better litmus test than wokeness, since being pro-Palestine/Israel-skeptical is more popular among Americans and therefore isn't an electoral liability the way wokeness is.

@ScottMGreer No, it’s going to stop actual crime. You’d know if you got a speeding ticket in the mail.

Flock outrage is more legitimate than data center outrage. They're meant to stop crime, but everyone knows what they're going to be actually used for: catching people for going a few miles over the speed limit and other petty offenses. Tons of cities have made it a burden to drive as cameras send tickets for every petty traffic offense. People are sick of it. That's why Flock cameras represent to many the nagging nanny state rather than a force for public safety.

In all this endless discourse, has anybody yet come up with a theory of how Nolan's diversity casting choices _improved_ the movie? All I'm hearing so far are things like: - But film was good anyway. - Only on screen 5 minutes. - Why are you asking? Are you racist? - I hate you.

@ThomBrady5 31 literally makes no sense, that’s like everyone buying a house young then never moving again. This change is because old people move now instead of living in the same house for 50 years.

@based_rowing When I was first living on my own making minimum wage at ~19, biweekly checks were painful since there was zero buffer room. Within ~6 months it became a non-issue, let alone 8 fucking years.
