Only two copies of Kitab al-Zunuj are said to have existed, conveniently unknown until an Italian “discovered” them. The Kismayo version starts with the Curse of Ham… credible history, apparently 🤣🤣🤣. Can you produce the physical copy of this book if it actually exists?

عروبة بلاد الصومال 🇸🇴 {🧵} To the mentally colonized Somalis who constantly cry about ‘Arabization’, I have news for you: The region that is now modern Somalia 🇸🇴 (as well as other parts of the Horn of Africa) has been inhabited by Arabs long before the advent of Islam, and this presence has continued long afterward and throughout history. The people who inhabit Bilād as-Somāl have always viewed themselves as part of the broader Arab cultural umbrella. In this thread, I will explore the history of Arabs in East Africa (with a specific focus on what is now modern-day Somalia) and how this history has shaped the religious, cultural, linguistic, and genetic identity of Somalia. BEFORE ISLAM: There is substantial evidence to solidify the fact that Arabs inhabited the eastern coasts of Somalia (and other regions) for centuries before the advent of Islam. One key source is East African oral tradition itself. Manuscripts from a book titled ‘Kitāb al-Zunūj’, which were published in the 19th and 20th centuries and discovered in the possession of a Somali qādhī (judge) in Kismāyo in 1923, clearly state that Tubba’ al-Himyarī was the first to establish the settlement now known as Muqdishu, along with several other port towns along the Eastern African coast. This account is further echoed by the Somali scholar Sharīf ‘Aydrūs al-Nadhīrī in his book on the history of Somalia. Despite the objections from some colonized Somalis who dismiss these narratives as mere folklore and legends, additional historical and academic evidence firmly supports the matter. Consider the account from ‘The Periplus of the Erythraean Sea’, a 1st-century Greco-Roman navigational guide, which validates these “myths” as historical truths. It states that the Arab Himyarites controlled the entire Eastern African coast by “ancient right,” implying that this authority was inherited from the Sabaeans before them. Furthermore, it indicates that the Himyarites ruled the region and were familiar with it due to ‘continuous intercourse’ and intermarriage with the local populace.

Is Ethiopia preparing to invade Somalia? In recent days, there have been reports of increased military cargo flights arriving from the United Arab Emirates to air base in Ethiopia. Ethiopia is seeking to ignite a civil war and instability in northern Somalia by any means. It is deeply alarmed that Somalia’s state-building phase after decades of civil war is nearing completion, and that the country is entering a new phase marked by oil extraction and the development of its natural resources.

China took over Djibouti and spreading communism in the East African region; and now Russia wants to get Sudan through Red Sea military base. U.S is still delaying the Somaliland’s offer of Berbera base , a strategic Red Sea and Gulf of Aden maritime route while majority of Somalilanders overwhelmingly support the U.S as a friend!

#Sudan Offers #Russia Its First Naval Base in Africa Red Sea port would give Moscow a vital edge in the strategic waters Sudan’s military government has offered Russia what would be its first naval base in Africa and an unprecedented perch overlooking critical #Red_Sea trade routes, according to Sudanese officials. The deal, if it happens, would be a strategic advantage for #Moscow, which has struggled to deepen its foothold on the continent. It would be a troubling development for the #US., which has sought to keep Russia and #China from controlling African ports where they could rearm and refit warships and, potentially, choke off vital sea lanes. Under a 25-year proposal Sudan’s military government presented to Russian officials in October, Moscow would have the right to station up to 300 troops and dock as many as four warships—including nuclear-powered ones—at Port Sudan or another, yet-to-be-named Red Sea facility, the officials said. The Kremlin would also get the inside track on lucrative mining concessions in Sudan, the third-largest gold producer in Africa. From Port Sudan, Moscow would be well-placed to monitor maritime traffic to and from the Suez Canal, the shortcut between Europe and Asia that carries around 12% of global trade. In exchange for allowing Russian forces the long-term use of its territory, the Sudanese officials said the country’s beleaguered military regime would get advanced Russian antiaircraft systems and other weaponry at preferential prices as it pursues the civil war with the rebel Rapid Support Forces. A Sudanese military official told The Wall Street Journal that Sudan needs new weapons supplies, but that doing a deal with Russia might generate problems with the U.S. and European Union. The Sudanese government and armed forces didn’t respond to requests for comment. wsj.com/world/africa/s…

@NegedeYehuda @_dhahir @grok The war didn’t end after Ahmed Gurey died. Nur Ibn Mujahid continued the war and killed Galawdewos. The war ended after the Oromos invaded from the south and crushed everyone. There was no Abyssinian victory in this war. 😂

@Wavesflp @_dhahir @grok 1. It was invaded by several coalesced powers with modern weaponry, which included Arabs, Ottomans, etc 2. It still resisted and didn't get wiped out. Ahmad eventually failed and was crushed.

We should have never allowed immigration from Somalia at all. It has not benefited this country in the slightest way. Now they are taking over once-proud American cities, and will turn them into the same kind of failed dysfunctional hellscape that they fled.
