I used to, but I realized it’s because generally we put too high an expectation on it. Like something grand has to happen or it was a bust. If you simplify your plans, buy yourself something; anything else that happens is a plus, but overall it was a good day.
Also always take the day off from work, really the week if you have the PTO.

The best manager you can have is one drowning in back-to-back meetings. If they are stuck on Zoom all day, they do not have time to micromanage your status. They become the bottleneck, not you.
