NEWS: Jeff Bezos' rocket company Blue Origin has filed an official request with the FCC to launch and operate a constellation of 51,600 AI satellites (orbital datacenters), just two weeks after Amazon filed a formal petition calling on the FCC to deny @SpaceX’s 1 million-satellite proposal for orbiting datacenters, going as far to claim the project would take “centuries” to deploy. Blue Origin's project, called “Project Sunrise,” would include up to 51,600 satellites in low Earth orbit, designed to run AI and cloud computing workloads using constant solar power. The system would primarily use laser (optical) links between satellites. Blue Origin says "space-based data centers could relieve pressure on Earth’s power grids and water usage."

CNN just fact-checked Chuck Schumer live on air and wrecked him. Schumer claimed the SAVE Act “appeals to only the most fringe element of the MAGA base.” CNN instantly put up the numbers: White Americans: 85% support voter ID Latino Americans: 82% Black Americans: 76% The anchor straight-up said: “Voter ID is NOT controversial in this country. Not by party. Not by race. The vast majority of Americans support it.” Schumer just called 76% of Black Americans, 82% of Latinos, and 85% of Whites “fringe MAGA.” They don’t oppose voter ID because it’s unpopular. They oppose it because it works. Time to nuke the filibuster and pass the SAVE Act.

Oxford professor John Lennox in an interview with Jordan Peterson in 2023 explained his view that there is no conflict between science and Christianity: "I never saw the tension between Christianity and science because very early on as a teenager I was introduced to the writings of a scientist who was a Christian who drew my attention to something Alfred North Whitehead wrote, and it was really put in much simpler language by C.S. Lewis when he wrote 'Men became scientific because they expected law in nature, and they expected law in nature because they believed in a Lawgiver.' And so, very early on, and I was fascinated by the idea, that actually modern science is a legacy of the biblical worldview, and therefore, it's no accident that the pioneers—Galileo, Kepler, Newton, Maxwell, and so on—were believers in God. And as you pointed out, it underpins the tradition that lies behind the great universities of the world that the doctrine of Creation was actually the belief, the underlying presupposition, that allowed people to do science. So I've come over my life to the conclusion that science and the biblical worldview sit very comfortably together, but it's science and atheism that do not sit comfortably together."

With Orion being set for a Centaur V upper stage NASA could start launching it into LEO on Vulcan. Then there would be no need for Starliner, for LEO crew redundancy. And if a ferry stage were implemented to take it to the moon then SLS isn’t needed for Artemis. Boeing would not be happy.

NEWS: NASA is planning a bigger @SpaceX Moon mission role using Starship, in a massive blow to Boeing. With the new proposal, Boeing's SLS would no longer be used to boost Orion close to the moon. Instead, Starship and Orion would dock in Earth orbit, giving Starship the pivotal role of propelling the capsule to the moon’s orbit, before taking astronauts down to the surface. bloomberg.com/news/articles/…

he's entirely right of course. even if you think he is wrong, at the very least physicists should think about why everyone else agrees they've lost the plot.

After watching the new administration in the U.S. as well others I am convinced that everyone throughout government has to a greater extent been threatened within an inch of their lives by what I would call a shadow global government. I’m convinced this is the case with any newly elected conservative administration within the Western world, because in any other coherent scenario there would be so many people behind bars right now that it would make your head spin!

Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi's approval rating has plummeted from a record high of 79.5% to 56.0% with disapproval skyrocketing from 15.0% to 35.9%. This comes after she refused to establish a cap on immigration despite winning a supermajority on an Anti immigration platform.

Initial Super Heavy V3 and Starbase Pad 2 activation campaign complete, wrapping up several days of testing that loaded cryogenic fuel and oxidizer on a V3 vehicle for the first time. While the 10-engine static fire ended early due to a ground-side issue, we saw successful startup on all installed Raptor 3 engines. Next up: preparing the booster for a 33-engine static fire

☄️💥Meteorite Getting Picked Up By Radar!!! Meteorologists call rain, snow, hail, etc on radar "Hydrometeors", but the radars in Cleveland (KCLE), Cleveland Airport (TLVE) and Cincinnati (KILN) actually picked up today's meteor breaking up in the atmosphere! If pieces of the meteor hit the ground, it looks like Chippewa Lake, Sharon Center and Rittman, OH would be the locations to find pieces in Medina County. This is from NASA's Astromaterials Research & Exploration Science Meteor Falls (ares.jsc.nasa.gov/meteorite-fall…): NASA Meteoroid Environment Office finds that this was a 2m diameter object weighing around 6 metric tons - more of a small asteroid than a large meteoroid. Weather at the time of the fall was overcast with snowfall. Radar signatures are limited to those above the cloud tops. This is not a serious limitation for strewn field modeling but it explains why there are relatively few NEXRAD radar signatures for what appears to be a large event.

THE SEARCH IS ON! Today's asteroid explosion was captured on local doppler radar just before 9am. Scientists have already narrowed down WHERE fragments from today's event likely landed! The debris area where a search for meteorites will likely commence is between Medina, OH and Wadsworth, Ohio along Wadsworth Rd. Also could be some fragments between Chippewa Lake and Ganger... all in Medina County, Ohio. Are you ready to search?

A 6-foot wide meteor weighing 7 tons and traveling at 45,000 mph exploded over NE Ohio just before 9am. It produced a very loud boom, which this doorbell camera caught! Due to the fragmenting, smaller meteorites were deposited in Medina County! ☄️ 📹: Misty Klingmann
