When some of us warn Nigerian celebrities who rush to honour every invitation to Ghana, they don't listen. They keep pretending it's all love and brotherhood. But let's stop lying to ourselves: a large number of Ghanaians do not see Nigerians as brothers. They see us as bitter rivals, sometimes even as enemies. What Nigerians dismiss as online banter is not banter to the average Ghanaian. It's taken seriously. It's territorial. It's competitive. In many cases, it's outright hostile. While we're busy joking, laughing, and seeking validation, others are mobilising narratives, nursing resentment, and framing Nigerians as something to be resisted or eliminated economically and culturally. Enough of the naivete. We need to stop projecting our sense of brotherhood onto people who don't share it. Until Nigerians learn to read the room and protect their own interests, we'll keep walking into spaces where we're tolerated at best and targeted at worst.

UG Law Lecturer, Prof. Kwame Gyan used $7million to set-up a poultry farm with 57,000 bird capacity. After a month of operation, it produces 1,800 crates of eggs per day. He says the previous NPP gov’t tried to sabotage the project but he still pulled through. Now he needs extra $6million to expand it to 1.2million bird capacity with a potential of producing over 50,000 creates of egg per day.
