The police/fire departments received a call at 8:15 PM yesterday for a car into the Sudbury River @ Sherman’s Bridge. Occupant exited the vehicle safely and was not injured. The WFD & Fire D14 Dive team are attempting to recover the vehicle at this time. Please avoid this area.

Avoid the area of 158 Boston Post Rd (RT 20). Crews on scene of motor vehicle accident with road closure.

Crews responded to a well involved vehicle fire in the area of 8 Waltham rd. Crews clearing at this time.

Crews performed a water rescue at 1405 hours. They arrived at the Old Wayland Reservoir in 4 mins. and they found a 63 YO male struggling 100 feet from shore. They rescued the individual with specialized water rescue equipment. He was transported to Newton-Wellesley Hospital.

The WFD responded to 7 Ellen Mary Lane @ 1141 hours for an injured worker on a roof. Crews were able to use a ladder truck and onsite construction equipment to remove the injured party who was transported to Lahey Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

We will not allow Open Burning from 4.18.25 through 4.21.25, due to numerous large scale events in the area (250thCelebration and Boston Marathon), and the predicted weather forecast. Open burning will resume on 4.22.25 (weather permitting). The Open burning season will end May 1

Route 30 closed near Pemberton Rd for motor vehicle accident. Two minors transported via Wayland ambulance.

Wayland crews were busy with numerous weather related calls today. Natick E3 and Weston Car 1 provided mutual aid. Wayland Car 1 was struck by a large tree while responding to a call on Brook Trail at 1140.

D Group just extinguished a detached garage fire at 12 Castlegate. Cause of fire under investigation.

Old Connecticut Path has been closed in the area of Wallace Road due to a motor vehicle accident with a utility pole across the road. Expect an extended closure.
