E. Michigan Avenue and Second Street will be closed for several hours for a traffic crash investigation. Please avoid the area.

The City of Wayne has declared a SNOW EMERGENCY for today, 2/12/2025 at 7:00pm until further notice. Please remove your vehicles from the streets no later than 7:00pm. Any vehicles that remain parked on the streets are subject to being issued a citation, and/or towed.

**Venoy Road will be closed at the railroad tracks from 11-4-2024 to 11-11-2024. The railroad tracks are just south of Michigan Avenue.**

The intersection of Glenwood and John Hix is now a four way stop. Please use caution and share this information with your neighbors.

Chief Strong awarded Detective Williams the 2023 Police Officer of the Year Award at last night's City Council meeting. When presenting Detective Williams with the award, Chief Strong noted Williams' skills as a police officer and his strong commitment to teamwork.

Please avoid the area of East Michigan Avenue between Venoy and Merriman due to a serious traffic crash investigation. East Michigan Avenue in this area will be closed during the investigation.

URGENT PUBLIC SAFETY ALERT: Residents should avoid the area of Gloria between Annapolis and Clinton while officers investigate a suspicious device. Residents in that area should leave the area immediately.

Wayne County Emergency Management has notified us that citizens should avoid the area of the Rouge River and avoid contact with the water. We would just add that flood waters are very high and citizens should use extreme caution in the area.
