Joe '82 and Julie Serra have donated $1 million to enhance the historic Kresge Gymnasium—Michigan's oldest active intercollegiate athletic facility and home to men’s and women’s basketball, women’s volleyball, and men’s and women’s wrestling. The gift will fund upgrades to men's and women's basketball locker rooms, lobby renovations, and new bleachers and signage over the summer. In conjunction with another generous gift, a portion of the donation will also contribute to the new training room opening in late summer at the Dow Serra Center. “Julie and I are true believers in Albion College,” said Joe Serra. “Our continued support is an investment not only in the future of the College but the overall belief in its direction under President Webster.
