Halifax Co. - Please be advised of a road closure on Mooseland Road Between Civic 4315 & Trunk 7. Evacuation order is in place due to a wildfire.

The Mooseland Road wildfire has expanded and a mandatory evacuation order has been issued for civic address 4315 Mooseland Road down to Highway 7. Avoid the area if not affected. Evacuees can register at evacuation centres located at Musquodoboit Rural High school, 11980 Hwy #224, Middle Musquodoboit, B0N 1X0, and Marine Drive Academy, 479 Church Point Rd., Sheet Harbour, B0J 3B0. Halifax East - Cooks Brook Road will be Temporarily closed as a result of a Motor Vehicle Accident. Accident is close to Ogilvie Road. Please use alternate route as delays are to be expected. Updates will be made when available.

Truro- Great Village Lornevale rd is closed near civic 202. There is a tractor trailer jackknifed. Crews are working on clearing the area

Please be careful in and around Truro. We're seeing white out conditions in Colchester County. Expect delays and use extreme caution. There is stopped traffic on highway 102.

UPDATE: The Highway 102 southbound off-ramp at Exit 3 (to Hammonds Plains Rd) will be closed from 9:30 am and 3:30 pm on weekdays. The work is expected to be finished by Friday, Dec. 19. The detour is via Exit 2B (to Larry Uteck Boul). The ramp is open evenings and weekends.

Halifax Regional Police are on the scene of a weapons call in the area of Veith Street/Hanover Street in Halifax. An adult victim was shot and was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Police do not believe the shooting was random and do not believe there is an ongoing threat to the general public. Please avoid the area as the investigation continues.
