Fun with species accumulation curves! I just saw my 168th bird species in Ontario since I started counting on May 6. That is 2x the number I saw in Trinidad during 8 months of fieldwork. What could explain these curves' shapes? Hint: Ontario does not have more species #ecology

My kid is struggling in a big way. She misses her friends and cousins. I find days where I have to put in a full day of work to be extra challenging. When we have these nights, where she finds it hard to communicate, I have her write it down. This is breaking my heart.
