Today marks the end of my 40+ year career in law enforcement. It has been my distinct honor, and pleasure to have served the residents of West Brookfield as their Chief of Police for the past 26 years. Thank you for everything.
Congratulations to Chelsea Police Department Chief Brian Kyes on his nomination to be the U.S. Marshal for the District of Massachusetts. Brian has been a tireless and learned advocate for the professionalism of our police forces all across our great Commonwealth.
A great night celebrating the career of Chief Dana Cooley (ret), of the Petersham Police Dept. Congratulations and thank you for your 31 years of service to the town of Petersham!
Today is Armed Forces Day, which is the proper day to honor all of the men and women currently serving, as well as those who have served and sacrificed to defend our freedom. THANK YOU!

@MassStatePolice From all of us at the West Brookfield Police Department; our deepest condolences to Tpr. Bucci's family and coworkers. Such a terrible tragedy. 💔
Trooper Tamar Bucci gave her life in the line of duty last night when her cruiser was struck by a gas tanker as she attempted to drive up to and assist a disabled motorist. We are heartbroken for her loss.
This is Trooper John Hagerty, who saved a man from a burning residence this morning in Middleborough (see previous Tweets). Trooper Hegarty used a ladder that was on the ground to help the resident escape out of a top floor window. The Trooper was treated for smoke inhalation.
After careful consultation with public health officials, @MASchoolsK12 today announced that the mask mandate for K-12 schools in the Commonwealth will not be extended beyond February 28.
