Special shout out to our first streamer outside of the original SVER group! Grateful to have you taking a chance on us.

This is something we're trying to change over at S.V.E.R. Our MAGnet system helps push discoverablity regardless of what genre you're streaming in. Whether it's your first time streaming or 17th day in a row, we try to give you a chance to put yourself out there.

@ashnichrist @StreamWithMeld This is one of the biggest hurdles we're going to be facing. Sver is a streaming platform that is 90% "vibe coded". I'm a single person who's been trying to implement this for the last 8 years. And it's finally become a reality thanks to tools like Claude and Codex.

People are still upset @StreamWithMeld launched an AI feature… and that TwitchCon will have AI Growing a startup in the traditional gaming / streaming industry is one of the hardest things to do This is why I have so much respect for the team at Meld & anyone else who tries - the viewers love drama content so creators incentivized to make vids or posts hating on everything - business acumen can be low so people don’t understand why startups make decisions - very small % of people who are open minded about new tech - those who are curious are sometimes so scared to be vocal about it because they don’t want to invite hate brigade - 99.9% of streamers make less than minimum wage so revenue requires massive scale - scale is considered hard because founders choose safe & boring or stand their ground & get public hate which freaks them out - large creators consult with emerging tech companies but don’t publicly associate or attempt to shift narrative Its a shame because this means traditional gaming / streaming misses out on a lot of innovation that would grow the industry There are so many great people and teams that deserve much more respect than they get Hoping to see Melds approach expand to more of them If yall want to learn AI tools, link to CRAFT (our AI Discord server) below :)

@BadHairGaming That failed to fetch was due to live updates. Since the platform is still smaller I push things out as they're finished. In that window of restarts some features are unavailable.

@WeAreSVER I'd love to try it out! I signed up, but am getting a "Failed to Fetch" error for a lot of things, including generating a steam key. Is there a specific test period to be aiming for?

I'd really like to be a content creator but wtf am I supposed to do on Twitch or YouTube? I don't want to support and invest time on these dog shit greedy mismanaged corporate platforms. I want 'by gamers for gamers', nothing else, but ofc there's no fking alternative rn...

Slow and steady: Honestly I have been saying KICK or at least multi-streaming is the future. I still wish a platform would implement my idea I been pitching for 3 years, almost. That is a way to add creators into user defined folders and when that creator goes LIVE that folder turns green. No more scrolling thru a sea of thousand creators with either followed based list or the creator with the most viewers always on top and small streamers have NO CHANCE at real potential discoverability. So Asmongold was banned by Twitch for a week for saying he doesn't care about "the opinions of illiterate third worlders", yet Hasan promotes, platforms, and aids terrorism on his stream, abuses animals on his stream, promotes communism and fascism on his stream, and the most he has ever gotten is a one day ban on his day off. Oh and let's not forget Twitch protects Hasan by disabling the ability to report his stream for any of the above as well. What do you want to bet Asmon is going to be taking this week deciding if it's worth coming back at all and not just cutting ties and streaming only on Kick and Rumble moving forward? Because the reality is, Asmongold has more money than he knows what to do with and only streams for the love of the game, and he'll have just as big of an audience and just as much reach on Kick and Rumble as he does on Twitch. Asmongold doesn't need Twitch, Twitch DESPERATELY needs Asmongold.

We've been doing a lot of behind the scenes work improving the experience for both streamers and viewers. However we're starting to run into issues where we need live testers.

@Kumotsune @NicoENVT We're currently working on something over at Sver.tv our goal is community engagement through a 3 faction system. And we want to reward streamers for consistency instead of burying them due to low viewer count.

@NicoENVT I'd like a good alternative to Twitch, but I don't think there any unfortunately. YouTube has a terrible interface for streaming, Kick is a gambling website, and Fansly is not for wholesome content

can obs or twitch have a pop-up chat like tiktok? I only have one monitor and using my phone to watch chat is really annoying. or if someone knows of a plug-in or alternative that exists, that'd be nice too.

@VeroVerie @Twitch @YouTube We're working on building our community here at sver.tv but our discovery system is based on multiple factors. We prioritized new and smaller streamers. We then reward consistency, don't punish for extended breaks between streams. And have faction influences.
