Congrats .@sesamestreet for their Kennedy Ctr Honor yesterday. They were 1 of the 1st shows (along w/Mr. Rogers) to teach tough subjects to kids empathetically. Sesame Street continues this work, now launching a show w/IRC to help edu. refugee children & help them cope w/stress

A new social media campaign launched today by @Refugees w/ @RedHourBen @YusraMardini @RizMC @neilhimself @thenitinsawhney and more celebrates the strength, resilience and skills that refugees can bring to their new communities. #RefugeesWelcome unhcr.org/news/press/201…

Their parents live in the US. Their grandmother was entrusted with bringing them here, and CBP separated them. There is no reason for children who have parents in the US to be sitting in a holding cell rather than released to their parents pending their asylum hearings.

it’s hard to know where we can start helping. but that's the important thing. just starting. big or small. speak up. become a part of the conversation. protest. volunteer with local orgs. help folks settle in when they do make it across the border.
