@kvlly I struggle with this too. Sometimes I feel like the only way I can progress with anything is become obsessed with it for 3-6 months, then burn out. 🥲

One silly thing I’ve learned about myself is how bad streaks are for my mental health. If I let one go on for long enough (be it working out, logging into a game, etc.) I begin to obsess over keeping the streak alive no matter what. Now I intentionally let my streak break.

It's cool to see EMDR therapy destigmatized by Prince Harry. I just restarted therapy to deal with some trauma that happened years ago that I've been getting flashbacks of recently. Did you know that trauma can be stored in your body? EMDR can retrain the brain and neurological pathways that are involved with PTSD symptoms. It helped me deal with some severe driving anxieties and some other stuff.

@AndyTheGiant @Shopify Agreed... deeply problematic individual. I don't pay attention to him overall, but those images are shocking.

I'm honestly a bit dissapointed in @shopify team members posting on the success of Kanye's e-comm site launch. Given his long and recent history of antisemitic remarks/behavior and even this imagery used, I'm a bit sad about it right now.

@Xero, I'm sorry, but your user experience is just awful. I go crazy with confusion and anxiety whenever I try to do the most basic things. I'll be moving to @freshbooks next month, after 3 years with Xero. They are a fraction of the price for a more user-friendly product.

@NatAlleyCat Oh, I we were originally talking about that video. 😂 I think that, at the level this person needs to be to testify at a hearing like that, we can give her more responsibility, and she could probably find work somewhere less ethically fraught.

@NatAlleyCat Yep. And that's my priority - staying sane. And looking after myself and people close to me. Maybe I have to play the game of capitalism to do so, and maybe I'm not entirely happy with it at all times. But keeping perspective is so important.

@NatAlleyCat Oh gods, I hope you weren't thinking I was calling JBP morally upright. 🤣 He definitely believes he is, of course. And that's my point. I've seen a lot of senseless harm done in the name of moral and ethical uprightness, so we have to be careful.

@NatAlleyCat I think it's good and awesome that there are people doing the work and trying to make changes at whatever level they can, though. Maybe collateral damage is impossible, but I think we should also try to avoid it if we can.

@NatAlleyCat It is very messy. Speaking for myself, I think it's better not to try to cognitively unpick all of the potential cause/effect relationships of this hyper-problem. It feels like it can only be so productive, and in many ways it's actually harmful for me.
