We-Draft.com’s Combine Day 1 Winners: Sonny Styles / LB / Ohio State It was no easy feat for Sonny Styles to raise his already elevated draft status today, but the Ohio State linebacker did just that. A 4.46 40, 43.5” vert, and 11’2” broad would be impressive for an undersized linebacker. For a 6’5” 244 lb linebacker it is flat-out unbelievable. Styles was a first round lock before today; now, he is in the conversation to be the first defender selected. Caleb Banks / DL / Florida Caleb Banks’ stock rose not because of what he measured in at. We knew he was a large human, and his measurement numbers only confirmed that (6’6”, 35” arms, 10 ⅞” hands). However, he erased all concerns about a lingering lower body injury affecting his explosiveness by jumping a 32” vertical and a 9’6” broad. His 2025 film showed a player who lost the burst that allowed him to dominate in 2024. These numbers proved he got it back. Malachi Lawrence / EDGE / UCF Lawrence solidified himself as a Day 2 pick in Indianapolis today. While his 4.52 40 yard time is impressive, his jump numbers verified the first step he flashed on tape. Both jumps (40” vert and 10’10” broad) are above the 95 percentile for edge rushers. Good production and great testing numbers will excite NFL teams about Lawrence’s NFL upside.
