The First Lady of Nigeria, Remi Tinubu has urged Nigerians to venture into the akara and corn business. “To start akara business doesn’t take a lot of money. To start roast¡ng corn or kuli-kuli doesn’t take much. We didn’t give them a l⁰an, we gave them a grant. We have encouraged Nigerians as best as we could, I also gave to several others.”

My Late Father Left Property for All His Children, We Don't Suppose Beg For Anything But His Wife Took Everything for Herself and Her K¡ds — Mr Ibu’s Son Calls Out His Widow After She Sought Financial Assistance debunking her claims that Mr ibu didn't leave anything meaningful behind. “My name is Okafor Somtochukwu, the third son and fourth child of John Okafor. I came across a video this morning of my stepmother, Stella Maris Okafor, asking for financial help and also talking about her children. Her children are not the only children Mr Ibu has. He left behind a lot of children, both the ones that are older and younger than her children. I decided to make this video because her ch∆racter is becoming a sl∆p to the rest of my dad’s children and family. This is a woman that my dad d¡£d and left a lot of properties and things for all his children, but she chose to take everything for herself and her children. My father’s property, his house in Lagos, she sold it for ₦60 million. She didn’t bother to reach out to any of his children. Even when I called her, asking her for money for my WAEC, she told me she doesn’t have. She didn’t even reply to my messages. She didn’t pick my calls. His house in Enugu, she S0ld it for about ₦17 million. She sent just ₦40,000 to me, telling me that she’s just dashing me the money. It was later I found out that she S0ld his house in Enugu. My father also had a property in Asaba. She S0ld it for ₦11 million. She didn’t give me anything. The money in the bank, ₦66 million, the ones Nigerians contributed for my dad when he was s¡ck, she ate everything alone. This month ending will make it 2 years that my dad was bur¡£d, she’s coming outside now after collecting and keeping everything for herself and her children, claiming she is the v¡ct¡m. At the point of my father’s d£∆th, he called me all the way from Delta State to Lagos to come and see him and told her to take care of me, pay for my WAEC, and all of that. She f∆¡l£d to do it. She c√t me totally off from my father’s properties and assets. At a particular time, I was unable to reach her. Even up till today, I have been unable to collect my WAEC result because I am still 0wing school fees. And this same woman that c√t me off, and every one of my father’s children, is coming out now cry¡πg and asking for financial help as if she is the v¡ct¡m. I just came out to do this video for the whole world to see who the actual v¡ct¡m is between me and her, that ate all my father’s money and properties. Because if I continue to keep quiet and accept everything she’s saying, my father in the gr∆ve will not be happy, and it will look as if am not Mr Ibu’s son."

"Reason With Me" was inspired by my first love. Back then, my mum had already started seeing her as my future wife. Everyone thought that was where my life was headed but life had other plans. That relationship taught me a less⁰n I will never forget: money has a way of revealing people's true character. Some people change when you have money and some change when you don't. I won't l¡e, that experience left a mark on me. For a long time, I stopped believing in love altogether. Then I met Ivy. Not just someone who listened to me but someone who genuinely understood me. The kind of woman who gives you peace without even trying. The kind that makes you feel safe, valued, and at home. One day, I took her shopping. I picked out plenty of things for her but she only chose two items. They were expensive, but before I could even reach for my wallet, she paid for them herself. When we got home, I surprised her by giving her three times the amount she spent. Why? Because she makes me happy. I was the one who made our relationship public, not her. Ivy is naturally private. She's quiet, different and comfortable with a simple life. While some people may want constant outings and attention, Ivy can be happy with fruits at home and good company. She doesn't compete with other women. She doesn't compare herself to anyone. She's independent, hardworking and still carries herself with respect and humility. Honestly, when you find a woman like that, you don't just love her... You become a better man because of her.— Psquare, Rudeboy hails his new wife, Ivy for being exceptional and different from Balablu blublu bulaba

"My cousin brother got marr¡ed on Saturday, and the marr¡age £nded on Tuesday. After the wedding, my cousin brother’s w¡fe started d¡st√rb¡ng him, asking why he didn’t want to post their wedding on TikTokk, Faceb⁰0k, and Wh∆tsApp status. He told her that he didn’t want his wedding online. He told her he wasn’t a content creator, so he didn’t see any reason to put his wedding on social media. He said if she wanted to post it, she was free to do so. But the wife thr£∆ten£d him, saying that if he didn’t post it, then he was hiding something. She said she would never be comfortable in the marr¡age unless he posted it 0nline. According to her, she wanted to be sure he wasn’t hiding another woman or a ch¡ld somewhere. She told my cousin that if he didn’t post the wedding before Monday, she would leave the marriage. On Monday morning, they continued dr∆gg¡ng the issue. The wife called some of our brothers and cousins to compla¡n. She even called me. So I called my cousin and told him, “Oga, post your wedding v¡deo on social media. It’s nothing. You can’t start your marr¡age with pr⁰blems.” Finally, around 2 p.m. on Monday, he posted the wedding video. Immediately, people started calling him. Customers who usually lodged in his hotel in Lagos congratulated him. Some were surprised and asked why he never told them he was getting marr¡ed. Then one person told him, “You sure say you fit stay for this marriage? Girl wey you use do ashawo for your hotel, na him you later marry?” Another person said the same thing and more. To make things clear, my cousin never used that lady for ashawo. He only made her a supervisor in his hotel when he travelled to China for six months. During that period, he became interested in her and was already planning to marry her. As more people kept calling, asking why he married a lady they believed used to do ashawo in his hotel, he became confused. He asked one of them where the story came from. The man explained that he once lodged in the hotel and asked the lady to get him an ∆sh∆w0. According to him, she replied, “Why are you looking for one when I’m available?” The man then sent evidence and ch∆ts, claiming he pa¡d her ₦50,000 and spent the night with her. That was what got my cousin very ∆πgry. He called me and said he was coming to my house. Because of the kind of person I am, I called the lady and asked her to come over too. When she arrived, she was smiling and saying, “My husband finally posted me. We don settle.” I told her, “That’s not the case.” Showed her the messages and evidence people had sent. Immediately she saw them, she b√rst into t_ars. My cousin actually rΠshed the marr¡age because she was already pregπant. This was a lady he sent over ₦4 million to while he was outside the country. She was also earning money as a hotel supervisor, so money wasn’t her problem. Immediately he returned to Nigeria, it wasn’t even up to three months, this girl told him she was pregπant and that they needed to get married quickly before the pregnancy became obvious. After spending over ₦15 million on the wedding, the entire marr¡age ended in days. To think this lady is 29 years, I still wonder why did what she did…”– Man shares how his cousin’s marriage ended in three days after a lav¡sh wedding following their wedding post on social media.

"I have a son, he's 29, and I'm sure, 'cause he lives in different part of the world — he was born in the UK and he lives in the UK. And I tell people, since my son left university I haven't given him one naira, and he doesn't want one naira from me because he has a job. He has a physical support for what he does. So you can't start your life... Unfortunately, I must say it, it's d¡ff¡cμlt here. There is no fiscal support from government. The system is ∆ga¡nst your progress. That has to ch∆nge. You must d¡sm∆ntle the cr¡m¡n∆lity so they can't have opportunity. I went to bank in the UK, they didn't ask me for any guarantee, they didn't ask me for anything to guarantee my l⁰an. All they asked me [for was] my certificate, schools I went to, what do I want to do when I finish — they approved the loan for me based on what they call intellectual capital. And this. Here, you have to bring your m⁰ther's land, your father's assets, every — it cannot continue."– Peter 0bi

Tinubu is a father to all Nigerians. Iπsμlt¡πg him is like iπs√lt¡ng your own father, and no father deserves such d¡sr£spect. Nigerians should continue to pray for President Tinubu and support his efforts to move the country forward. C√rs¡ng or iπs√lt¡ng leaders is not the solution, as many of the ch∆lleπges facing Nigeria existed long before 2023 and cannot be solved overnight. — Captain Abba G.

I do not see the level of huπger Nigerians complain about.– Presidential spokesman, Bayo Onanuga says “I think the President went to Lagos, he was coming from the Central Mosque, and somebody now did a voice-over saying ‘Ebi n pawa o,’ and that means we are hμπgry. I don’t see the level of h√πger people are talking about because I see them, and I keep asking them questions: how are things, how are they adjusting, what are the problems?”

Lady cries out after speπd¡ng her own money to visit a man who promised to refund her transport fare "with interest. Knackked her and bl⁰cked her. "People please help me out, a friend of mine posted a v!deo of me on her Wh∆tsApp status and a guy saw it and told her he liked me.We got talking and he invited me over to his place but he said he wouldn't send me transport fare because some girls will collect transport fate and R£fuse to show up. So I used my money to go to his place because he promised to refund me with interest, he even request I help him buy jollof rice and chicken on the way which I did. I sl£pt at his place and we kn∆cked all night. He said I should use my money that he'll send it to me when I get home. I called my friend who introduced me to him and explained everything to her. As soon as I got home, he bl⁰cked me off. Imagine if I c√rse him now. After eat¡ng my jollof rice and ch¡cken and ontop of it, kn∆ck¡ng me..some guys are just so unf⁰rtuπate but I leave him in the hands of God."

He has a way of moving circumstances so clearly and so powerfully that nobody can honestly take credit for what He has done. The people who thought you needed them suddenly realize they were never your source. The opportunities that looked impossible suddenly come together. And the path that seemed closed becomes the very road you walk through. D£sperat¡on can make people vulnerable to m∆n¡pulat¡on, but moments like this remind me that it is d∆ngerous to reduce your standards because of a temporary ch∆llenge. The help you think you cannot do without may not be your source at all. Sometimes God allows the alternative to f∆¡l so that when the real door opens, there is no confusion about who opened it. Have you ever experienced a situation where everything looked impossible, but events unfolded so perfectly that you knew it could only have been God? – A woman recounts how her journey to success began.

"On December 11, 2021, I was sitting in my room in Nigeria, completely fr√strated with my situation. I had received an opportunity in the United States and was told that I had to resume on or before January 5, 2022. If I could not make it before then, there would be no point coming again. The pr⁰blem was that after submitting my visa application, the earliest interview date I got was June 2022—about six months after my resumption date. I remember staring at that date and feeling d£f£∆ted. Everything seemed to be working ∆ga¡nst me. Instead of giv¡πg up, I submitted a request for an emergency appointment. At the time, emergency requests were being R£jected regularly, but I decided to write the most compelling explanation I could and back it up with faith and intense prayers. Two days later, while waiting for a response, I was already considering alternative plans. I had returned to Nigeria in 2020 after completing my first PhD in the UK, and honestly, I was t¡red. I felt d¡scoππected from everything around me and d£sperately wanted a new beginning. As I pursued opportunities in the United States, I was also exploring options in the UK and Canada. Eventually, I received another offer to study in the UK. The challenge was that unlike the U.S. opportunity, it came without funding, meaning I would have to sponsor myself. The U.S. offer was clearly the better option. It came with fuπding and long-term opportunities. The UK offer was simply my backup plan in case the visa situation did not work out. I just wanted to leave even if it means going back to where I just came from. While waiting for a response on my emergency request, I reached out to someone I had known for a while. He was involved in helping students access opportunities abroad and worked closely with a well-known ministry that provided scholarships. I thought perhaps he could help me secure some fuπding for the UK offer. He entertained the conversation and seemed willing to help. Then he mentioned his cond¡tion. If I came to the UK, I would have to stay in his guest house, and he would be coming to stay with me from time to time. You can read between the lines. I was shocked. We were both believers, and what he was suggesting was completely un∆cceptable to me. And even w⁰rse, he has a w¡fe and ch¡ldren. But there I was, in a vulnerable situation, listening to someone who apparently believed my d£sperat¡on would make me compromise my values. As I continued talking to him that night, trying to £xplain why his proposal was wr⁰ng, my phone buzzed. It was around 10 p.m. I glanced at the notification. Then I looked again. And again. It was an email from the U.S. visa center. My emergency appointment request had been approved. My interview was scheduled for less than 48 hours later. I screamed so loudly that my mum and dad heard me from their room. In that moment, everything changed. I do not even remember how I ended the call. I dropped the phone and immediately started packing my bags because I knew I had an eight-hour road trip ahead of me to get to the interview city. Looking back now, what amazes me most is how quickly everything happened. I received the offer on December 4. I got my visa on December 15. I boarded a flight to the United States on December 27. Just a few weeks earlier, it had looked impossible. The interview date was in June 2022. Every calculation suggested that the opportunity was already l⁰st. But God had a different plan. What still b∆ffles me till today is the timing. Just when someone thought my future was now dependent on his approval, God showed me that He never needed that person to accomplish His purpose for my life. The door I thought I needed a man to open had already been opened by God. One thing I have noticed about God is that when He decides to open a mighty door into your promised land, He does not leave the glory with anyone else.

“Men should pay us to have their babies. Women go through a lot after ch¡ldb¡rth and their b0dy never remains the same” — Lady Ladies, they should pay us to have their babies. I said it. I said it. I finally said it. I know it sounds crazy right now because you're not used to it, but I swear you're worth it. Cause how do we normalize having a baby and the b∆by takes the father's name for free? It's important to listen to this. If he can afford it, he should pay you. If they cannot afford it financially, then they should should pay in some other way, you can be creative. Keyword is payment, he must pay. And buckle up oh, because check the comment section, there will be a lot of rubb¡sh people trying to make you feel b∆d for agreeing with me. But stand your ground, you deserve it. Because listen to this, listen. List all complications that can arise from ch¡ldb¡rth. Why am I hearing h_morrhage? Why am I hearing that some people grow a third k¡dπey? And can we also talk about the stup¡d societal expectations that everybody, when you're pregπant, everybody's like "Oh my god, you're glowing! You're so beautiful, you look so fresh and so plump." The moment you pμsh the baby out, "Ah ah, when are you going to snap back to your original shape? Ah ah, you are looking f∆t, or you've been f∆t for a while." Forgetting that you're breastfeeding a whole h√man being, a whole h√man being is l∆tch¡ng onto you. Do we forget that your your b⁰dy changes forever no matter the s√rgery you get, no matter the gym you hit? Your b0dy changes forever. And of course, the big one. So, I want everybody to think about that before they—"Oh my god, you're a woman that thinks a man should p∆y her for giving b¡rth? You're doing too much." There's something fundamentally wr⁰ng with you for you to think that a w⁰man should do this for free. And go to open their mouth and say, "What do you bring to the table?" We've been doing this for free out of the goodness of our heart. And if a woman demands p∆yment, it's because she deserves it."

Being your wife was the greatest honor – Alex Ekubo’s wife emotional tribute has everyone talking onl¡ne as she recalls the beautiful memories they shard together and the great time they had together. "Before there was Pookie, before there was Pookstar, there was Asa, Asa IKUKU, one of the very first names you gave me and there was Nwa. The name somehow became home. When my mother p∆ss£d a year ago, you were my anchor. You held me together during a season where something felt heavy. Your love gave me the strength to keep putting one foot in front of the other. I find myself reaching for you in a hundred different ways each day, only to remember I cannot. How do I live in a world where I won't hear the random bursts of you calling out, 'Pookstar’? If love could be measured in little things, you would be impossible to quantify. It was in the details you carefully recorded, the things people mentioned once and forgot. I treasure the notes you left for me around the house. I would find your notes tucked into drawers, on mirrors, beside my things, hidden in places. Little messages from my Dadaa to his Nwa. Sometimes sweet, sometimes just a simple reminder that I was loved. Our marriage was in so many ways, a faith journey. We prayed together, trusted God and his promises together. No conversation was ever too ordinary for prayer. You spent your life trusting God, you pointed so many people back to him, including me. Dadaa, you mattered. To so many people, in so many ways. And that is why this l⁰ss feels enormous. But gr¡ef is not the end of your story. I know heaven welcomed you with the same joy you brought to so many of us and I know God's beloved son has come home. Being your wife was the greatest honor, I will always be forever grateful that, of all people in the world, I was the one who got to share this life with you and having your love is one of the greatest gifts God has ever given me. I hope you always knew how deeply I loved you, Dadaa. I thought I understood the depth of that love while you were here. You are my sunshine, my only sunshine. You are my Dadaa, you will always be my favorite h√man being. Forever your Nwa...".
