Domestic abuse is very common, statistically we will all know someone who is affected. It can happen to anyone, including those you care about, but you can make a difference. By raising awareness and offering support you can help tackle domestic abuse in Sunderland. #EndVAWG

When a loved one appears to be pulling away, our instinct is often to act quickly. This can sometimes be with ultimatums, hoping to regain the contact that’s been lost. For many survivors this can unintentionally leave them feeling more isolated. Instead, open the door. #EndVAWG

Only 15% of serious sexual assaults are reported to the police, leaving the vast majority of survivors without the support they deserve. This silence highlights the fear and stigma that many face. It’s time to change. Together, we can create a city where survivors feel safe.
