A disappointing day in the end, our 2s travelled to Lymm to be greeted by a ground that ‘wasn’t ready’ and the ones with a defeat against local rivals Northwich. We go again next week, when the 1s travel to Woodford and the 2s host Brooklands 5th XI.

With both teams travelling and the start of the season just under 30 minutes away, a few changes to both sides. Finn Dowling and Shakthi Krishnan swap sides and Karl Douglas replaces Jude Lightfoot. Looking for a big 50 point weekend (or whatever it is now) to start #UTFR

And with the return of cricket come the return of The Russets 2nd XI! Big recruitment over winter has revived the side with first games for the club for Laxman, Rajeev and Jegadeeshwaran. Ben and Jack have stepped up to be captains in what we hope is a big year for the club🏏

CRICKET IS BACK! Our 1st XI kick off the season hosting local rivals Northwich at the WCG Debuts in the 1s for new lads Dinesh, Shakthi, Kajan and Tharsan with Rob Harrison taking over as captain for this season🏏

Live music and beer festival time. 2 days of ale and cider on offer. Just for a little added spice tomorrow sees us host @BarntonCC in the local derby. No better way to spend the weekend #UTR

🍺 Weaverham Cricket Club Beer Festival 2025🍺 Friday 8th of August & Saturday 9th of August A bar full of ales, ciders, lager and stout all weekend, alongside our usual bar. Free entry, tokens available to be purchased and used for beer and cider from the beer festival bar!

The 1st team host Lymm OP from 12:30 earlier in the day for those who need few beers to calm the nerves before throwing. Get down and support the lads #UTR

🎯Weaverham Cricket Club Round the Board darts tournament 🎯 Saturday the 14th of June, £2 entry and aiming for a 7.30pm start. Fully stocked bar fridges and draft booze, and a range of soft drinks. Entry on the door at 7pm or earlier.
