42% of cloud data corruption is completely silent. Most storage services tell you your data is available. Filecoin Warm Storage proves it, providers continuously challenged, payments adjust automatically when proofs fail. $2.50 per TiB, two copies, sub-second retrieval.

I'm not trying to speak on their behalf. I don't know how they do it, but I just made the post, following their co-founder's speech. I think he may have spoken excessively and shared more than required. I'm suggesting they start an education arm to train their resources, or rather, partner with universities on this. Moniepoint is a unicorn in Nigeria, just like Amazon and Google in the US, and they have an education arm.

@Web3crypt0 Bootcamps are meant to train people FOR entry level roles. All I hear is a job ad disguised as a bootcamp ad. Only 20 pple understand basics of devs out of 9k? I'll like to see the JD for "basics"

MONIEPOINT IS TRENDING. BUT THE REAL STORY IS BIGGER THAN THE CONTROVERSY. The noise is about what CEO Tosin Eniolorunda said at The Platform Nigeria on Workers' Day. People are angry. People are defending him. Most are reacting to a headline they did not verify. That is how trends work. Whether you agree with what was said or not, Moniepoint has earned the right to be in this conversation. WHAT MONIEPOINT ACTUALLY IS It started in 2015 as TeamApt, a backend infrastructure provider for banks. Not a consumer app. Not a flashy startup chasing downloads. A company that understood the pipes matter more than the paint. While others raced to acquire users with cashbacks, TeamApt was building the rails. That institutional knowledge became a moat no venture capital could replicate overnight. By 2023, the product had outgrown its parent. TeamApt became Moniepoint. THE NUMBERS In 2025, Moniepoint processed 14 billion transactions. Two years earlier: 5.2 billion. Transaction value: 412 trillion naira — roughly $294 billion. That is 38.5% of NIBSS's entire 2024 transaction value. One company. 8 out of every 10 in-person payments in Nigeria. All 774 LGAs covered. Over 6 million businesses served. 1 trillion naira disbursed in loans — borrowers recorded a 36% increase in transaction value after receiving credit. This is not a fintech company. It is closer to a national payment utility. THE TALENT CRISIS Moniepoint's DreamDevs bootcamp received over 9,000 applications this year. They selected 20. A 0.22% acceptance rate — sixteen times more selective than Harvard. Not because Moniepoint is elitist. Because out of 9,000 applicants, only 20 were job-ready. That is not a Moniepoint problem. That is an education system problem. Theory-heavy, practice-light institutions producing graduates who understand concepts but cannot build systems. Moniepoint's response: build its own pipeline. DreamDevs. HatchDev with NITHub Unilag producing 500 developers annually. Six years of a Women in Tech internship program. The real question is not whether the CEO had the right to say what he said. The question is why a company must build its own talent factory just to hire people. THE KENYA MOVE While Twitter looked inward, Moniepoint moved outward. It acquired Sumac Microfinance Bank in Kenya — CBK-licensed, 78% majority stake. First continental acquisition outside Nigeria. It also acquired Orda Africa, a restaurant software provider, in March 2026. Payments led to banking, banking to credit, credit to business tools, business tools to sector acquisitions. Each layer makes the last stickier. Platform lock-in through genuine utility, not artificial barriers. THE GLOBAL RECOGNITION Named to Endeavor's 2026 Outliers — top 10% of 3,000+ scaleups across 50 markets. Unicorn at $1 billion+ valuation. $250 million Series C backed by Google's Africa Fund, Visa, IFC, and DPI. Ranked by the Financial Times as one of Africa's fastest-growing companies for two consecutive years. THE REAL CONVERSATION Nigeria has a structural mismatch between the ambition of its most competitive companies and the readiness of its talent supply. Not the fault of Nigerian workers. The product of decades of underinvestment in practical education. The heat around Eniolorunda's comments is legitimate in parts. But it should not obscure the light — a company built by Nigerians, for Nigerian businesses, expanding into East Africa, building its own talent pipelines, and recognised globally as one of the continent's most consequential fintech stories. That is bigger than any single quote. His company has earned a serious reading. #Moniepoint #NigeriaFintech #AfricanTech #Fintech #TosinEniolorunda #NigeriaTwitter #TechInAfrica #FinancialInclusion #AfricanStartups #NaijaTwitter

This man wasn't sleeping. Jaja Wachukwu — Nigeria's first Foreign Minister — laid back in his chair at the UN after they refused to let him speak. He had something to say about racism. They shut him down. So he shut himself off. No shouting. No storming out. Just a quiet, dignified man making his contempt visible in the only way they couldn't silence. That same man went on to fight for a country that wasn't his. He worked the phones. He pressured Washington. He pressured London. He made the case, again and again, that Nelson Mandela should not die in an apartheid prison. And they listened. Nigeria helped pull Mandela back from a death sentence. Nigeria helped make free South Africa possible. So when I see videos of South African mobs looting Nigerian shops, beating Nigerian traders, and scaring Nigerian children away from school — I don't just feel anger. I feel grief. Because this isn't a stranger attacking a stranger. This is a family turning on itself. Xenophobia is not an economic policy. It is not strength. It is fear with a weapon in its hand, pointed at the wrong target. Migrants didn't hollow out South Africa's economy. Decades of inequality, corruption, and failed governance did. South African authorities must stop issuing statements and start making arrests. Vigilante groups must be disbanded — not tolerated, not managed, disbanded. Every foreign national on South African soil deserves the protection the Constitution promises. And to every African leader watching this unfold in silence: your silence is a choice. Make a different one. Jaja Wachukwu chose dignity over retaliation in 1961. That choice helped free a nation. What choice will we make today? #EndXenophobia #PanAfrica #Nigeria #SouthAfrica

The thing is that, DreamDevs is not a conventional bootcamp. It is not designed to teach people to code from scratch. It's a fast-track course for people who already know the basics — like engineering grads or devs with some experience — and want to get up to production level quickly. The bar at entry is therefore higher than at a typical bootcamp. Moniepoint is looking for people with prior experience and not complete beginners. They are looking for people close enough to production-ready that nine weeks of intensive work can close the gap. So, to put it simply: out of 9,000 people who thought they were qualified, only 20 actually had the skills needed to start the program. That is the data point that stings. Not that 9,000 people could not do the job on day one — but that 8,980 could not clear the entry bar for an accelerated program designed to make them job-ready. It's still pointing out problems in the education system, just more clearly.

@Web3crypt0 If the 9000 were job ready, they would be applying for jobs not bootcamps. What's the purpose of the bootcamp? Why are you looking for job ready applicants for a bootcamp?

RWA Tokenization. Thread : RWA tokenization just hit $19.32B — up 256%. BlackRock, Franklin Templeton, and Ondo Finance aren't testing anymore. They're deploying at scale. The bridge between TradFi and DeFi isn't coming. It's already here. #RWA #Web3 #Crypto

The chart indicates a strong bullish trend and appears ready for a significant breakout. Should a clean V-shaped recovery occur, $FIL of @Filecoin could potentially yield 2× to 4× returns.

Google Cloud just doubled certain egress fees. Same data Same traffic Higher cost This isn’t just pricing—it’s a signal. Data movement is becoming expensive. That’s where models like @Filecoin start to stand out. #Filecoin #FIL #Web3 #Cloud #Infrastructure

This isn’t just about Google Cloud It’s about a broader trend: Cloud providers monetizing data movement That creates friction @Filecoin reduces that friction through decentralized storage models #Filecoin #FIL #Web3 #Cloud #Tech
