Next up on the radar •> @SovaBTC Moving assets across chains is one of the most broken experiences in crypto and most people have just accepted it. Bridges fails, wrapped tokens get exploited some transfers take hours and you end up splitting large moves across multiple routes just to get around liquidity caps, and half the time you are holding a bridge IOU (I owe you) instead of the actual asset you wanted. Sova was built specifically to fix this and the approach is different from everything that came before it. Instead of using a traditional bridge, Sova runs on an intent-based settlement model. You tell the protocol what you want , say you swap 1,000 USDC for native BTC and a decentralized network of solvers competes to fulfill that intent at the best price. The winning solver executes the trade atomically, meaning it either completes in full or you get your funds back automatically. No partial failures, no stuck transactions. And you receive native BTC, not a wrapped version of it, not a bridge receipt. The actual asset. This works across more than 50 chains right now. EVM networks including Base, Ethereum, Arbitrum, Optimism, Polygon, zkSync, Berachain, and dozens more, But also Bitcoin natively, Zcash, and Solana. The coverage is already broader than most cross-chain solutions that have been building for years. Phase 1 ( The protocol ) The first product available to users is the svBTC vault. You deposit cbBTC which is coinbase’s wrapped bitcoin on base, and you receive svBTC in return (svBTC is a yield-bearing token that appreciates in value over time as the vault earns fees from solver activity). Every cross-chain settlement that flows through the protocol generates a 0.5% fee, and that revenue goes directly to vault depositors. No token emissions inflating the numbers. No made-up yield. Real economic activity paying real returns. The fee structure is straightforward. Zero management fee, zero deposit fee, zero withdrawal fee. The only fee is 10% taken on profits. If the vault makes 10% gross yield, you receive 9% net. If the vault makes nothing, you pay nothing. The svBTC token itself compounds automatically and your balance stays the same but the exchange rate between svBTC and cbBTC increases as yield accrues. The contracts are deployed on Base, fully verified on-chain, and built on the ERC-4626 standard which is the battle-tested foundation that serious DeFi protocols use for tokenized vaults. What is coming next is where the longer-term case gets interesting. Phase 2 ( the token ) This brings the $SOVA governance token, which will also serve as the bonding requirement for solvers joining the network. Solvers will need to post $SOVA as collateral to participate in settlement, which ties the token directly to protocol activity rather than making it purely speculative. Alongside this, svBTC staking for $SOVA rewards is coming with tiered lockup incentives, meaning vault depositors will have an additional layer of yield on top of the settlement fees they are already earning. Phase 3 ( bigger picture ) Multi-L2 deployment so the protocol is not confined to Base, an intent message bus for real-time cross-chain routing, institutional-grade liquidity pools for large-scale transfers, and progressive decentralization handing governance over to token holders. The end goal Sova is working toward is universal settlement infrastructure. Any chain, any size transfer, sub-minute finality, fully non-custodial.
