In the 1990s, Canadian ecologist Suzanne Simard made a groundbreaking discovery that challenged everything we thought we knew about how forests work. While studying managed forests in British Columbia, she noticed something puzzling: when birch trees were removed to promote the growth of valuable Douglas firs, the firs did not flourish as expected — they actually struggled and grew more slowly. Determined to understand why, Simard traced the movement of nutrients using radioactive carbon isotopes. What she found was astonishing. Trees were actively sharing resources through vast underground fungal networks known as mycorrhizae. These delicate, thread-like fungi connect the roots of different trees across the forest floor, forming a complex web that allows the exchange of carbon, water, nutrients, and even chemical signals — sometimes between entirely different species. She discovered that older, larger trees often serve as central "hubs" or "mother trees," supporting younger saplings by redistributing vital resources and helping the entire ecosystem remain resilient. When these key trees are removed, the underground network weakens, and the health of the remaining forest declines. Simard’s research overturned the traditional Darwinian view of forests as battlegrounds of ruthless competition. Instead, she revealed a far more sophisticated reality: forests operate as highly cooperative systems where trees communicate, support one another, and even warn neighboring trees about threats like drought, disease, or insect attacks. What appears to the human eye as a silent, still forest is, in truth, a vibrant, interconnected living network — built not on isolation and rivalry, but on deep connection and mutual aid.

Anyone who thinks “White Privilege” isn’t a thing needs to listen to her experience of getting pulled over as a person of color. As a white woman, I’m disgusted that this is what you must deal with and this is the daily reality‼️

Let me say something every Republican needs to hear right now. Trump does not care if you lose. He does not care about your career, your district, your donors, or your family. Trump cares about three things. Money. Attention. Self-aggrandizement. That’s the complete list. And the idea that Trump is going to help Republicans win in 2028 is a bunch of malarkey. You want to know who Trump actually wants as his successor? Gavin Newsom. The narcissistic nihilistic logic is this: you were nothing before I got here and when I leave, you’ll be nothing again. That’s the supreme narcissist’s final move. A Democrat winning in 2028 proves his point perfectly. Don Jr. has already said they want to be the richest family in the world before they leave the presidency. God only knows what they’re doing to get there. So if you’re a Republican still betting your future on this man’s loyalty — understand one thing clearly. There is no loyalty. There is only the transaction. And you’re not the one getting paid.

Only 3% of households that have tipped wage earners, will receive a tax cut this year. Every single billionaire will receive generous tax cuts. What a fucking scam. Republicans despise the working class.

🇲🇽🚨 Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum just made it clear: Mexico has every right to send fuel to Cuba, whether for humanitarian or commercial reasons. No apology. No hesitation. No asking permission. Washington has spent six decades telling the world who can trade with Cuba and who cannot. Mexico is saying that era is over. Sovereign nations make their own trade policy. They do not wait for a blockade to be lifted. They act. First Mexico restarts oil shipments. Now the President is putting the empire on notice. Cuba is not alone. Latin America is waking up. And the days of Washington dictating who gets fuel and who gets starved are coming to an end.

Since 2016, there have been 4 cases of non-citizens voting in Wisconsin out of 25,237,189 ballots cast (13 elections / excluding any special elections). Or 0.000000158496 of ballots cast.
Carly Wilson@CarlyDanger

It’s not a “mixed picture”. If you go into the crosstabs, 8/10 WI Republicans say noncitizens are voting. 9/10 Dems say that’s not happening. Those aren’t just different opinions, they’re different realities. 4 cases of non citizen voting have been found since 2016.

"Raheem Cooper, a UPS driver, was working in Valdosta, Georgia, when he saw something unusual. It was a hot afternoon, around 2:00, when he spotted a woman lying on the ground outside her home, with both her door and car door wide open. Raheem rushed over to the woman, who was awake. He told her to stay still and called for help. After checking her house and finding no one inside, he quickly dialed for help. While waiting, Raheem used a water bottle to cool her down as she lay on the pavement. He placed UPS delivery bags under her head to make her more comfortable. When help arrived, they discovered that the woman, 78-year-old Marie Coble, had fallen while bringing groceries into her house. Raheem stayed in touch with Marie’s family and even started a GoFundMe to assist with her medical expenses." - Share this to go viral again ❤️

Study shows COVID vaccines decreased heart attacks and strokes. A sweeping analysis of nearly 46 million adult health records has delivered a clear verdict: COVID-19 vaccination sharply lowers the risk of heart attacks and strokes, directly refuting persistent claims to the contrary. Published in Nature Communications, the study followed people across England from December 2020 through January 2022. It documented a 10% drop in serious arterial blood clots (including heart attacks and strokes) after the first dose alone. Protection strengthened further with subsequent doses: a 20% reduction among those fully vaccinated with Pfizer/BioNTech and a striking 27% reduction for AstraZeneca recipients. The researchers were upfront about rare side effects—myocarditis and certain clotting disorders—that can occur shortly after vaccination, but stressed these remain exceptionally uncommon. By comparison, catching COVID-19 itself dramatically raised the odds of major cardiovascular events. Lead co-author Dr. Samantha Ip described the results as some of the strongest evidence yet that the vaccines do more than prevent severe infection: they also confer lasting protection against two of the world’s leading killers. [Ip, S., North, TL., Torabi, F. et al. Cohort study of cardiovascular safety of different COVID-19 vaccination doses among 46 million adults in England. 🚨BREAKING: ICE agents, working with state police, pulled over a vehicle, in Ogden, Utah… and smashed their car window because he wouldn’t roll it down all the way. Watch the shift… because this is where it goes from aggressive to completely out of control. The driver already has the window partially open. The ICE agent is yelling, giving a countdown, threatening to break the window… while another officer is trying to open the door from the other side. No explanation, or clear threat… Just escalation. Then, someone inside says, “I’m a U.S. citizen… you pointed a gun at me.” And that’s the moment everything changes. Instead of pulling back… instead of correcting… instead of even acknowledging it… The ICE agent snaps. “I don’t give a shit who you are, I don’t know you.” And then he immediately escalates further… raises the metal bar… and starts hitting the window… doubling down on force. A person says you pointed a gun at them… and your response is not to de-escalate… It’s to get MORE aggressive. That’s retaliation. They call them “non-compliant”… and within seconds, the window is smashed and the driver is dragged out. And it doesn’t stop there. The passenger… who is recording… gets told to “stay there” while the officer puts his hand on his gun. He responds, “I’m recording for my safety.” The officer shuts the door on him anyway. When he opens it again and steps out… and then the officer physically shoves him back into the car. This is what needs to be understood… The escalation didn’t come from a threat. It came the second someone spoke up… the second someone said, “you pointed a gun at me”… The second someone started documenting it. That’s when it got worse. That’s when it turned physical. That’s when the window broke. And that’s what should alarm people… because that’s not about safety anymore. That’s about being challenged… and responding with more force.

A federal judge just ruled that videos of DOGE staffers must stay up — and they are devastating. Under oath, they couldn't define DEI. They admitted they never reduced the deficit. And they wiped out $100 million in humanities grants — including a Holocaust documentary — using ChatGPT. The regime tried to bury this. It didn't work. dworkinsubstack.com/p/shut-it-down…

ICE guards are betting on which detainee will kill themselves next. The AP just exposed the savage conditions of a detention camp in El Paso. The Associated Press got inside Camp East Montana. What they found should be on the front page of every newspaper in this country until it closes. About 3,000 people packed in per day. Loud, unsanitary quarters crawling with insects. Food so scarce that detainees steal from each other just to eat. Disease spreading through filthy rooms, showers, and restrooms that go uncleaned. People losing weight. People unable to see a doctor. People losing their minds. Staff made nearly one 911 call per day in the camp's first five months. One call captures a man sobbing after being assaulted by another detainee. Another has a doctor describing a man banging his head against a wall while expressing suicidal thoughts. A nurse calls about a pregnant woman in severe pain with coronavirus. Detainees suffering seizures, some resulting in serious head trauma. Ages ranged from a 19-year-old who fell from a bunk to a 79-year-old who couldn't breathe. And then there's the detail that should haunt this administration for the rest of its existence. Owen Ramsingh, a former property manager from Columbia, Missouri, who spent weeks in the camp before being deported to the Netherlands, told the AP he overheard a security guard talking about a betting pool among the staff. They were wagering on which detainee would be next to die by suicide. The guard said he had put $500 in. The total pot rode on the outcome. Ramsingh said the talk was particularly devastating because he had contemplated suicide himself. Guards are gambling on the deaths of people in their custody. People who are hungry. People who are sick. People who are begging for help through 911 calls that come in every single day. And the staff turned it into a game. This is not some rogue facility. This is the system working exactly as this administration designed it. Overcrowded by policy. Underfed by neglect. Understaffed by choice. They built a place where human beings deteriorate and then the people paid to watch over them place bets on who breaks first. The AP has the data. The recordings. The interviews. The court filings. This is documented. This is real. This is happening right now in El Paso, Texas, in the United States of America. Share this. Do not let them bury it under another news cycle.

In 2016, a dog fell into a reservoir in Almaty and could not escape the steep concrete walls and strong current. A man tried to help but was unable to reach it on his own. Seeing this, several strangers stepped in and formed a human chain, reaching down into the rushing water and saving both the dog and the man. Ten years later, this moment was turned into a sculpture unveiled on March 18. Funded privately and approved by the city, it stands as a symbol of kindness, unity, and people coming together. More than a tribute to a single rescue, it reflects something simple and real: in urgent moments, strangers can help one another and save lives.
