As we celebrate Women’s Month, we give a special shout-out to @RuralYoungWomen, a women-led community-based organisation championing young women in mining host communities.Through leadership training & rights awareness, it is equipping young women to become bold agents of change

In mining communities, women are the backbone of households & local economies yet they remain excluded from the spaces where decisions about land, resources & environmental safety are made .It’s time to ensure women are at the center of decision-making in mining.

Shoutout to @SproutWomen2018 a women-led community force turning indigenous chickens into climate action. By promoting indigenous poultry, it is improving nutrition, enriching soils with organic manure & creating income opportunities that strengthen women’s climate resilience.

When women are excluded from leadership, justice, equity & community needs are sidelined. As @Wecobs1, we remain unwavering in our commitment to ensure women take their rightful place in leadership & decision-making roles ,not someday, but now. #LetsGo5050 #WomenForLeadership

Land degradation fuels poverty & deepens gender inequality, hitting women the hardest. Too often, women are locked out of productive land, resources. As the @Wecobs1, we call for equal representation of women in leadership & decision-making so women can access land and resources.

Technology is advancing daily @Wecobs1, we are committed to equipping women & girls in our communities with relevant digital skills. The skills enable them to safely report GBV, access support services & strengthen their ability to use technology to amplify their voices.

As the @Wecobs1, we look forward to 2026 as we continue advancing gender equality, women’s participation & leadership within our communities, while driving community development led by women.Women-led initiatives remain our top priority.

The @table_girls is redefining economic empowerment! On 24/11/25 they launched Pitch for Purpose Circles, a dynamic WhatsApp-based platform where young women get mentorship, refine business plans & pitch their ideas with full accessibility.

@GwenTrust,through its Market Connect is empowering young women in Seke & Chitungwiza with skills, confidence & micro‑grants to launch income generating projects. Financial stability is key to gender equality & ending GBV and they’re taking that step forward. #EmpowerLead
