It's deeper than that. Had Janine agreed to drive, it would set the tone for their relationship going forward. Meaning she'd have to constantly compromise her own happiness for Gregory's unreasonable comfort.

G found a away to either go to the outter banks cheaper or go to a cheaper place closer but the budget didn’t fit for flights at all
