🔎 I think cards are a really interesting angle in Liverpool vs City. There were six cards total when these sides met in November, City picking up two, Liverpool with four. City are the point of focus however. 👇 Each team has received two cards in three of their last five, but what really stands out is their away form. At the Etihad, City average just 1.33 cards per game, but that number rockets to 2.08 when away. They’ve picked up two cards in nine of their 12 away games against everyone from Wolves all the way through to Arsenal. With Liverpool, the numbers aren’t quite as strong, they’ve picked up two cards in 13 of 24. However, what really sells Liverpool cards for me is City’s uptick in fouls drawn. They average just 11.0 fouls drawn over the season, but over their last five have drawn: 👉 15 vs Spurs 👉 14 vs Wolves 👉 13 vs United 👉 16 vs Brighton 👉 14 vs Chelsea That’s an average of 14.40 over their last five, all five opponents receiving two cards. Liverpool committed 15 fouls in the reverse, and picked up four cards. Both sides will see this as a must win. With that and the stats in mind, City 2+ cards will feature in my Bet Builder.
