Both have contrasting attributes (which is good for switching formations) but we probably need a more balanced player in the summer.

@TigersEye1904 @bazdjcooper Slater/Coyle are in your team for Wrexham, we don’t play well and everyone jumps on Coyle and Slater rather than others that have been worse. Hughes wasn’t good against Ipswich,no one calls out that. Slater is one player that actually looks to do something positive in a game

@bazdjcooper Struggle to see what Slater has brought in recent weeks, he's arguably been our worst player (especially against Stoke and Boro). Been at fault for a number of goals we've conceded too. Coyle hasn't been great either (besides that block). Would question contract renewals.

@Fozzie040388 The team only conceded 54 goals, 8th best, the only teams that conceded less ended up finishing in the top 9. So by those stats, it is good

The defence looks very good? The amount of stupid goals we conceded last season. I beg to differ. We need at least 3. Another CB and a FB at either side #hcafc

@aalfiewhitworth Giles was suspect at defending, can’t head a ball and he’s never shown what he can do going forward. Fans have been saying he might flourish for ages, never happens. the club only bought him as they was obligated too

@Weeman1985 Under roseinor he was good, and under walter/selles not great but if we get muslic he can play lwb and who knows he might flourish

Can everyone stop mentioning Giles in the line up next season. He has had multiple opportunities and never showed the ‘quality’ he has. Fans say give him a chance, he gets his chance, does nothing with it and they start the process again #hcafc

@Gadzooooooks Think there was arguments to keep him such as stability & time to build but the lack of consistency was a big issue. Big wins against top teams and playing poorly against teams in bottom half. The football was largely disappointing

@Weeman1985 His selection and tactics were very suspect. Play well and get dropped for the next 3 or 4 games. Never seen a manager make so many triple substitutions because he got it completely wrong. Still...crazy for Acun to sack him before he had chance to prove me wrong though. #hcafc

Wasn’t in either camp of Selles in or out. Either decision I would have accepted. There was a lot of poor play under Selles and you can’t just blame the team he inherited, that squad should not have been battling relegation. Form was t great nor consistent #hcafc

Amrabat has shown age is not an issue, Jospeh is young, first try at championship.

It baffles me that people can look at #HCAFC’s goal difference - or the number of goals scored by each striker - and decide that the club’s big problem is Sean McLoughlin and Lewie Coyle.

Also another thing that’s been brushed under the carpet I think, We sent out on lone one of two left backs in January and didn’t fucking replace him

@Terraces12thman @HullCity Agree with this, always does the job he’s asked to do. Wasn’t a regular starter but covered injuries and did the job well when he started. Currently doing well at LB, massively underrated by the fans

Maka doesn't seem to get the credit he deserves, a player that's the least talked about throughout the fan base yet seems to be one of the most consistent over the last few seasons. Always good to go under the radar as such but in my opinion one of @HullCity most valuable players imo and a player I enjoy tracking through my lens. 📸 #hcafc

@4brookerreagan @Deesy2002 He is a good manager but with the team he had, he should have got play offs. The football was mostly boring, we wouldn’t have Pandur as number 1. Fans need to accept decisions have been made, things haven’t worked out but we moved on to next season

@Weeman1985 @Deesy2002 He made the players good, some of them weren’t all that at first. Delap and philogene hadn’t performed in the championship until LR got it out of them. He is a very good manager, and keeping him would’ve had some much needed stability within the club with so many new players

@AndrewAcum @hullcityfc210 True, a lot of people are just judging the talent that other midfielders have over him but don’t see what he does game in game out. Never seen him deserve the abuse he gets tbh

@Weeman1985 @hullcityfc210 Couple of occasions today when Norwich broke forward he tried to bring their player down to break up the attack (how many times have we seen players waltz through our midfield with no challenge?). He does the unglamorous work in midfield and often doesn’t get recognised for it.
