@felicitymaybe Having a VPN in Aus is basically mandatory if you want to see anything without having to submit facial scans to American companies
English

@zantetsuken0 @spaceashes Tempting tempting but you’d have to be Australian and travel out here to fight one of the members as only the strongest can get in

steam family lowkey an infinite games cheat i got like 1.6k games in my library from that alone
Brawl Squirtle@BrawlSquirtle69
Bro invited me to a Steam Family with 4 guys I've never met, and my library is over 6x the size of all theirs combined

@Misused_Chair @artyfiber Yeah because ai text generators are completely different and so much better than ai image generators
English

@RadicalRaxdii @artyfiber I’m confused, is gen ai suddenly okay if it’s for programming?
Also yeah, those are valid issues, there are also a lot more issue in regards to copyright, the environmental impact of the data centres and the code itself
English

@WeirdKoree @artyfiber This is a bad faith argument.
I've never personally used AI to code, but I have fiddled with the capabilities and I can see the benefit
The issue people have with AI is not all encompassing; rather, that companies and people try to reduce labor costs in favor of a worse product
English

@kaneryu @artyfiber Okay so yeah let’s just ignore code licenses and the data centres destroying environments because code is a cultural thing so it’s okay.
Stealing code is a huge issue, but you’ve never seen it before because you don’t pay attention to it.
English

@artyfiber They’re both gen ai, I just want to know why you find it fine to use it for programming and then tweet about how bad it is
English

@WeirdKoree you're just saying a completely different thing now...
this slowly turns into an argument which i'm incapable of handling. i'll leave you off with my opinion wether you're gonna take it or not
English

@artyfiber So I can generate an ai image and then trace it even if I have an art tutorials in my browser open?
Whats the deal with programming that suddenly ai usage is justified? What happened to asking someone else for help?
English

@WeirdKoree just my opinion but it's okay to ask ai to code if you know how it works.
i code manually with search history full of stackoverflows. when i'm truly stuck and resorted to ai and it gave me the working answer, i go "ohhh so THAT's how you're supposed to do it..."
English

@artyfiber If you had a decent knowledge of coding, why didnt you just use that instead of ChatGPTing the website? Saying it’s a great tool if used responsibly is an incredibly lame excuse for not wanting to look through the top 3 results on google for an answer.
English

@WeirdKoree i have a decent knowledge of coding. when i vibecode the base of this website i was meant to learn how it works. but i sunk myself deeper and it become extremely hard to manage at the end.
ai is great if used properly and responsibly. use it as a tool, not be a fool...

@kyexyz You could literally make the same argument for Twitter and reddit though
English

@ribbonmaw All the men saying you’re vague posting are also part of the 99% 😭😭
English

There's a reason 99% of men feel this way but I don't think you guys are ready to hear why
