Celebrini finished fourth in the NHL with 115 points, tied for fourth with 45 goals and was seventh with 70 assists in the regular season. He joined Wayne Gretzky as the only players under 20 years old to claim a 40-plus goal, 70-plus assist season. His point total was the third-best among teens in a single season in league history, trailing only Sidney Crosby and Gretzky, and he joined the duo as the only three teens in league history to finish in the top five of a season’s scoring rankings.

Macklin Celebrini finishes a historic sophomore season with 18 games of 3+ points, nearly matching 22 being held off the score sheet. The Sharks (39-35-8 overall) went 37-18-5 when he scored at least one point, 26-3-2 when he posted 2+ in a game.

Since earning their first win of the season on Oct. 23, the @SanJoseSharks are T-3rd in the @NHL with 23 wins, T-5th with 47 points and T-7th with a .618 pts%. They pace the Pacific Division in all three categories over that span.

Macklin Celebrini has now factored into six of eight overtime goals for the @SanJoseSharks this season. Through 43 contests, he has 11 games with three or more points and only 9 without a point.

At the halfway point of the season, Macklin Celebrini has matched his scoring output from his rookie campaign with 63 points (70 GP). His P/GP this season (1.54) is second-best in #SJSharks history, trailing only Joe Thornton’s 05-06 run after being acquired (1.59, 59 GP)

Celebrini is one of only two players on Canada's roster born in the year 2000 or later, the youngest on the roster by nearly five full years. He can become the seventh Shark to compete for Canada at the Olympics, joining Owen Nolan (2002), Joe Thornton (2006 and 2010), Dany Heatley (2010), Dan Boyle (2010), Patrick Marleau (2010 and 2014) and Marc-Edouard Vlasic (2014).
