These are the moments I prayed for as a little black girl with a racket in her hand and big dreams in her heart. Tennis has taught me so much about life. Through this game, I have grown as an Athlete, Coach, Teacher, Mentor, and Administrator. The path to SUCCESS has not been easy — it has been filled with beautiful challenges that shaped my character, sharpened my faith, and strengthened my voice. My coaches instilled in me at very early age DISCIPLINE, to be CONSISTENT and to give EFFECTIVE EFFORT. To WIN and LOSE with GRACE, CONFIDENCE, set HIGH expectations for myself, to EMBRACE all EXPERIENCES and to TRUST in Myself. They taught mental toughness, and how to let my racket do the talking. These skills sets made me an ELITE Athlete back in day and a Winning Coach at Junior Levels, State and National Levels. My parents and my village taught me to put GOD FIRST. To give thanks in both joyful and adversarial moments. To love my enemies — because as a child of God walking in purpose, I would have them. They taught me to work hard, fight the good fight, advocate for my community, and always ensure that my impact gives God the glory. I am deeply grateful to my mother and father for teaching me to pray first, work relentlessly, and love boldly. To my family, friends, mentors, and supporters — thank you for the unwavering encouragement throughout my journey. To every young athlete watching: embrace the challenges. Walk in faith.
