Amethyst class Welbourn

Amethyst class have been conducting experiments to see how different types of exercise affects our heart rate as part of our science work on the circulatory system this term.

On Monday we took part in sports day and we are looking forward to team games this afternoon, 🤞 it doesnt rain

This morning the whole school took part in @HelpPicture #bigolympicassembly. There was video messages from Joe Wicks and David Walliams and a really inspiring interview with paralympian @RunJumpStefReid

Amethyst class have been exploring Greek artefacts today in History, predicting what they might have been used for and what they are made from.

Today in science Amethyst investigated which shapes have the best water resistance and are more streamlined.

Amethyst class took part in an online internet safety workshop last week. We learnt how to stay safe online and appropriate communication

Amethyst have taken part in a road safety workshop this afternoon, learning all about the importance of wearing a safety helmet.

Amethyst have been exploring Buddhism pilgrimages in RE today. We went on a hunt to find all 8 sacred places.

Amethyst class have been enjoying watching our strawberries growing as part of our science work. We have been comparing different types of farming. We have some growing inside under light, and others outside naturally. We now have some flowers on them! @DysonFarming
