How long until VAR take control of the Referee’s whistle? Virtual whistle they control every foul and decision with on pitch ref simply commentating the game to them and assisting. Virtual whistle built in to the match speakers. Really sucking the life out of the game.

Football should make a few more adjustments based on some of the absolutely shocking decisions made this season by refs and VAR against Tottenham and many others, often to the benefit of Arsenal. 1. VAR renamed Remote Match Referee 2. Referees renamed On Pitch Assistant

Not a chance in hell. 1) He has to be far to close to land, and he won’t get anything off. 2) You can hear ever punch winding up with that weird noise. Toni Kinsky made 2 world-class saves last night… the header from Rodon and the shot from Longstaff. It’s also nice to see a Tottenham keeper dive the right way on a penalty, even if he didn’t quite save it. I’ve never seen Vicario dive the right way, let alone get a hand on it.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Joe Rodon wants to see Spurs go down this season. I’ve never seen him defend like he did last night, or celebrate with so much passion after every tackle. Don’t forget West Ham’s last game is against Leeds. Let’s see how well Joe plays in that game…

Perfect from Ben Davison too. The last thing he wants to do as the trainer is throw the towel in to take the belt off his fighter. Especially knowing that Fabio has the ability to KO opponents late. The doctors and ref had opportunities to stop it. 10/10 from Ben Davison. I’m sure I heard Fabio saying don’t stop it in the corner too.

I’ve been critical of Howard Foster in the past, but last night was a 10/10 performance. I can’t find a single fault in his performance other than the slight mistake when he thought the bell had gone, but that was a genuine mistake. He was constantly checking Fabio, got the doctors to check a few times too, gave him plenty of time to try turn things around, and then stopped it at the perfect moment. 👏
