A Box Elder County commissioner is speaking out and crying crocodile tears after people protested in front of his house. He should’ve thought about this before he betrayed his community & voted to approve the biggest data center in the world. Zero sympathy for corrupt officials.

Spoken like a true retard...Utah has been carved like a steak by China (buying a fuck ton of AG land) and the FEDS either taking land for national parks or military installations ... The Citizens were never informed this was happening - our corrupt asshole @GovCox is sold out and this is one smelly corrupt fucking deal that snuck around the public and was forced through -- those protesters were NOT paid agitators - those were locals and rightfully pissed off Citizens of the great State of Utah that don't want this shit in our State. In 5 years you'll be able to store the same amount of data in a fucking floor of a standard high rise - this monstrosity won't even be completed by then - not to mention we won't get shit for taxes because coxsucker basically gave it away in the deal - yeah, we'll notice - fuck you.

Guys, Box Elder County Utah is HUGE and is one of the least populated places in the Lower 48. It's bigger than the state of Connecticut and has a population of 50k-ish people, most of whom live in Brigham City. Nobody is going to notice the data center is even there.

Kevin O'Leary's massive data center was approved by a county commission in Utah last night. At 40,000 acres, it would be 2.5x the size of Manhattan. The commission approved the proposal despite opposition from hundreds of locals.

Then use the system to beat these assholes - resorting to personal threats will not work - once you get the authorities involved they will quelsh any progress and the fuckers get away with it as any attacks on them will be considered "illegal" - don't stoop to the retarded tactics of the defunct left to win on this - that's what I'm saying - think beyond step 2 for once ...

Even the spokesman from the O'Leary group said to reporters after the vote yesterday that the Commissioners didn't allow for enough public comment and that they failed in that task, calling it an unfortunate flaw in the "process" -- don't try to gaslight me. They ran this shit through as quietly as they could... it's bullshit.

Over the past 18 years, I’ve honestly attended more board meetings than all but 1% of people. I go to at least 5 a month, and often more. While they are a little different than City Council meetings, many things are similar. Not allowing the public to speak, just because you don’t want to hear it, is not a great way to run things. Limit the time. Don’t make it an open ended part of the meeting. But, let people share their thoughts. Obviously, a lot of people showed up to do that.

You missed the whole point...water and electricity were addressed - it's going to be powered by NG (which will very much increase our rates in Utah) - also, and here is the real story most journalists just can't seem to put pen to paper - native Utahns here up with a real respect for our unique environment - Utah has some very beautiful land and, for the most part, because it's a high desert ecosystem the blood thirsty developers from CA have always looked past us and gone elsewhere - that is no longer the case - this area is desert, has its own ecosystem (which we understand and respect) and most importantly - it's our backyard (not Kevin's or Cox's quite frankly). This deal was made in secret and only after going through the required public disclosure was there a vote and the uproar from yesterday. We believe WE are supposed to be in control of our State and we're totally ticked off with multiple admins over the past few decades that have sliced Utah up like a pie and left nothing for the citizens - that is why we're pissed off - do a story on that and not some "sustainable wet dream" you seem intent on writing...

These activists hate @kevinolearytv's planned data center. Yes, it's going to use a lot of electricity. But it will have its own power plant, off-grid. In my new video, I explain why off-grid power is better: x.com/JohnStossel/st…

This is not a dog grooming business out of someone's fucking garage - don't tell me how the government works - I very well know how the government works. This impacts everyone in our State - we should have had multiple notices (not a word was spoken of it on the news until the social media uproar) and multiple public meetings - nope, that shit ain't going to work on me.

@Well_There_ @IGoBySteve So every zoning or development decision should go to a statewide vote now? That’s not how government works. There was public input, it impacted the timeline, and the final vote followed the law.

@beaverd Do them in better locations - there is a fuck ton of space in former manufacturing areas of the country that will never be revived - do it THERE - NOT in new locations where the environment is wrecked and eco systems are messed up.

Simple - put it up for a vote in November - let the people decide. This is a huge facility being funded by a foreigner (for all intents and purposes) - the citizens have a right to have a say - I don't think many outside of Utah really understand how much we value our beautiful State and it's very unique environment - these will be fought ferociously - especially when they are done in this underhanded and highly suspicious way ...

Insufficient - this thing is a big deal - it should have had way more coverage AND more than one random Monday evening meeting that was horrendously advertised. The deal was done in secret and the least amount of effort went into informing the public - they literally just checked off the req boxes to push it through....this has to stop! Developers don't give a shit about Utah - they just see dollar signs - it's OUR STATE - not theirs and not the bought off developers that have infiltrated our government.
