In life I’ve always been the person who gives up, way too easily. I’ve never honestly fought for anything. Always taken the easy road. WELL NO LONGER! In the past 3 months I’ve submitted over 150 auditions with no roles or anything. But this is me doubling down never giving up.

Getting shortlisted for roles I swear I had a zero shot with will always be funny to me because I tend to genuinely just have fun with them since my mindset is I won't stand a chance whatsoever 😭

If youre a new VA and dont know where to find auditions, try CastingCallClub! There are VAs of all sizes there, and can be a great way to get some real auditions and practice in!

Shortlisted.. then saw all 3 roles got filled *before* the deadline. And still I'm marked as shortlisted. Very unfortunate and disappointing. We simply just have to move on with new casting calls!

Directors: Whether it’s 100+ or 1000+ auditions, please take the time to listen to everyone’s auditions. People took time out of their day to audition for your project. the least you can do is listen to their auditions.

@tytonidaeVA So I’ve been debating, some roles I don’t feel I could do justice, and I mean I could just send an audition in as practice and taking a chance, but is there a line, does it not matter what I think and what the creator thinks, maybe they like the delivery. Questions questions.

Just submitted an audition I have absolutely zero confidence for but that’s OK! This job is all about trying and failing and getting back up, I didn’t let my lack of confidence affect my performance 💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿

something to celebrate tonight! i auditioned for 3 roles in a project that had over 1000 auditions total, and ALL THREE of them were shortlisted!! this project was SO fun to audition for, so knowing i’m being considered is such a huge win! so grateful 🥹🥳

Voice acting journey day 3: My voice hurts, I was going into an headspace and I guess my throat was not ready. But also it’s making my gut hurt. Still love it though, I love investing into a mind. One or the deadlines is coming up, so fingers crossed!
