Free thinker, who has opinions. Debate is healthy folks. I'm Welsh, support Arsenal, and am a football coach. 3 pretty key parts of who I am I suppose.

Two things bother me about the narrative building around Arsenal. First, we're told constantly that the Premier League is the most competitive league in the world. Fine. So what does it mean to be consistently fighting for the title in that environment? You can't celebrate the league's brutal competitiveness and then dismiss sustained title challenges as not good enough. Pick one. Second, and IMO this matters more, failure in elite sport is not losing. Luis Enrique said it. Many others have said versions of it. Failure is not trying again. It's accepting the ceiling. It's going through the motions. Arteta has never done that. Every setback has been fuel for the next attempt. The problem is social media runs on binary outcomes. Win or fail. Hero or fraud. No room for nuance. No room for the manager who rebuilt a club into genuine title contenders and is still hungry for more. Simeone has been at Atlético for over a decade. Two league titles, two Champions League finals. Still no European Cup. Nobody serious calls that failure. They call it one of the great managerial tenures in modern football. And I'm convinced that given 14 years like Simeone, Mikel will win more leagues than him. Arteta may or may not win the league this year. He may not lift the Champions League this year or next. But as long as he keeps pushing, keeps trying, keeps competing at this level, failure isn't what this is. Find another name for it By the way, if City wins the league, the achievement would of course be enormous.

@KiwiLad8 The marketing is garbage for these live sporting events here in NZ. Also, often games are played in stadiums not fit for purpose, which means the atmosphere often ends up being very underwhelming, which in turn makes people less inclined to attend...

Six years away from the Champions League Second season in a row in the competition that defines the biggest teams and careers, and reaching semis If you don't see #Arsenal's progression is because you don't want to Seven regulars return, 4/5 new starters and back to be one of the best teams in Europe That's what I see @m8arteta is doing with his team

@premierleague How about the racial abuse Miles Lewis-Skelly received over the past few weeks? No statement on that?

This season, #Arsenal have dropped points because of refereeing decisions you’ll never see again. We haven’t been good enough at times to kill games, but minimal infractions have been punished to the maximum. These are game changing, title defining moments. #AFC

@Tonyrussell78 Here in New Zealand, the OFC B Licence costs $3500, which is roughly £1630. Someone suggested this course is equal to the UEFA C Licence course (might need to verify that), for context. Coaching courses cost too much in some countries, it's absurd.

So, the German FA set the UEFA A course at £500 to encourage more young coaches to get qualified. Spain is 1k plus and has enough courses to meet demand. We charge 4k & most have little to no chance of even getting on a course due to over-subscription. The result of that

@cagiago_ I enjoy watching my country play. I'd actaully rather they combine the September and October window into one 2-3 week window, then do the same with the November and March window. Would make far more sense.

I thought the referee was good tonight. He just did his job without thinking about his podcast, his SKY analysis show, his column in The Sun, his future appearances on “I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here” or his mother in law’s shell companies registered in Dubai and the Bahamas.

Bielsa on modern football and business ¨Football is becoming less attractive¨😐 He is the only worldclass coach concerned that business doesn´t take away football from people. I love that epic battle he is giving🥰 Follow me for more football videos with english subtitles!😍

I would like to thank the F1twt community for standing up against the witch hunt on Max Verstappen by the biased British media. It's great to see that there are true Formula 1 fans who genuinely love motor racing. And a big shout out to Peter Windsor and Eddie Jordan, who are capable of providing common sense analysis. Here is a great example of a real F1 fan. He takes the time to review Max's onboards. All the credit to @iamsymsie 🙌 What you see here is exactly what Peter Windsor also pointed out. And the stewards actually agree with him, as this is their conclusion: "As stewards, we looked at Max's under braking and it was not clear." Just like with Alonso in Australia who received a very strange penalty, it has happened again with Max. And it’s no coincidence, in both cases a British driver was involved and in both cases, English steward Johnny Herbert is involved.

THIS is pre-Abu Dhabi Manchester City. THIS is Manchester City without oil money, without state funding. Do Rodri, Haaland, De Bruyne or Ederson sign for THIS Manchester City? Do Aguero, David Silva or Yaya Toure sign for THIS Manchester City? Does Pep Guardiola join THIS Manchester City? City want to make history, but they can’t rewrite history. #115charges
