Today I spoke to a S.D. middle and high school, sharing my family’s story and experience with mental health. I left time at the end for Q+A and one brave soul dared to ask me the controversial question: “What brand of tractors did your family use?” I wasn’t prepared for that.

Spanberger: I would like to thank my opponent for a hard fought race, the. The lieutenant governor story, her military service and her years of service here in Virginia deserve our respect and our gratitude. And I ask that you join me in wishing her and her family well.  I also know that those who were supporting my opponent are disappointed today. And to those virginians who who did not vote for me, I want you to know that my goal and my intent is to serve all virginians. And and that means that I will listen to you. I will work for you and with you.

Horrifying news that Charlie Kirk has been shot. Gun violence and political violence have to fucking stop. Charlie, his family, and all the students who had to witness the shooting are in my thoughts. We have disagreements, but we all agree something has to change.

We agree with Charlie Kirk on basically nothing. Except that he deserves the right, as every human does, to speak freely without the threat of violence.

I'm horrified by the shooting of Charlie Kirk at a college event in Utah. Political violence has no place in our country.

An open forum for political dialogue and disagreement was upended by a horrific act of targeted violence. In America, we don’t settle our differences with violence or at gunpoint. I’m praying for Charlie, his family, and his young children.

The biggest risk to young people's mental health is not screentime. It’s addictive behavior. 4-year study: The warning sign of serious issues isn’t hours on devices, but whether kids struggle to control their usage. We should worry less about time than distress and compulsion.

My prayers are with our neighbors in Minnesota in the horrible death of Rep. Melissa Hortman and her husband and the shooting of state Sen. John Hoffman and his wife. A cost no public servant should pay and we grieve with their families today.
