As hard as this is to believe, I don’t think enough people, including many business leaders understand how seriously dangerous Donald Trump would be if he returned to the White House. At his crazy press conference today, he gave a glimmer of how bad it’s going to be once again if he somehow returns to power. At first glance, it appears that he has pro business policies, but he’s also suggesting that he wants to take away the independence of the board of governors and chairman of the federal reserve as it relates to interest rate policy. He is also suggesting openly that he would like to raise tariffs as high as 20% on a lot of goods and services and likely more than that. This would be a disaster, of course for our economy, and it would cause investors around the world to lose confidence in our capital markets. When he discusses this with his anti-free trade representatives they want to bring the United States back to the 1890s. They often cite Presidents like Benjamin Harrison or William McKinley. It was a different country back then and it was a very different world. It is a more beautiful world now. There is no going back. These policies would be an absolute disaster for America and it would be an absolute disaster for the world. Please listen to Trump very carefully when he is talking. He does not like people. He has very few friends if at all. If someone tells you they are friends with Donald Trump, it’s because they honestly don’t understand the relationship. He sees these people as objects in his field of vision. They are to be used as levers to get what he wants. They are then to be completely discarded when they no longer serve his purpose. If you don’t believe me, ask the loyal supporters of his that were sent over to project 2025 that have now been told that Trump doesn’t even know who they are. Trump‘s view is to convert the United States into an Oligarchic state. That is his go to form of leadership. His rich acolytes believe that democracy is too messy, and the average person is not capable of being involved in the decision-making a result of which these supposed know it all oligarchs should be running things and of course they should be getting more rich and more powerful. Is that what we really want for America? I know I personally don’t want that. I want an aspirational America. One of equal opportunity for everyone. I want in America for people who have nothing right now to think they can grow up and aspire to greatness. To love America the way our grandparents did. Every time Trump insults America the way he does from the podium, It’s a direct insult on our grandparents. Shame on him for saying that we are in shambles because we are very far from shambles. We are still what Lincoln said the last best hope on earth. When I hear him denigrate us he is attacking the legacy of our ancestors. I am not sure what is going happen in the election, but it feels like Trump isn’t just going to be defeated. It’s not clear to me that Trump will be the standing candidate for the republicans in November. He is very weak. He is very old and he is very brutal and his act has grown very tired at a time when the American demography wants better leadership and wants more inclusive leadership. Trumpism is a Frankenstein monster and is not even anything representative of a center right coalition. His oligarchy isn’t going to happen. We will work tirelessly to defeat him. I grew up with no money and I may have some now but I understand how important it is for people that have no money to feel that they have an aspirational opportunity in this country and that they’re not controlled by a group of know it all jackasses. After he is defeated out of the embers of the freak show that he’s created, I am hoping that a new center party can be rebuilt that looks more like the beautiful colorful mosaic of the American people.

My 6-year-old is obsessed with baseball movies. So far I’ve shown him The Sandlot, Rookie of the Year, and Little Big League. Am I missing any he can track and enjoy?
