@kamaalrkhan The fact that someone rides a bicycle in NL has nothing to do with money. The Netherlands is simply a cycling country. You might have heard that there are more bikes than there are ppl in NL. Often it is the fastest and most convenient way of transport, especially in cities.

@Juliemkal @RicardoCarv0jal I understand they do intend that. You can have views on that. I do not like bans in general, even if they don't affect me. The goverment it's intent is to include and extend it to heated tobacco and vaping.

@WesV18 @RicardoCarv0jal Do they ban smoking cigarettes in public places, knowing the scientific evidence that has proven the dangers of passive smoking? If the answer is no, then why ban vaping in public places that poses no health risk to bystanders?

The UK GOV is considering a ban on vaping in public areas. There is no good reason to do this, and it could only reduce the motivation for current smokers to switch. A consultation is currently available until the 8th of May. gov.uk/government/con… #VapingSavesLives #SayYesToTHR

@BladeoftheS NL is a coalition country. Unlike the UK, seats represent proportional making it a much more true reflection. Yes, the PVV lost lots of seats, many went to comparable parties that gained. On balance, all left-wing votes combined in NL only reflect 1/3. The right holds 2/3

Geert Wilders lost nearly a third of his seats in the Netherlands. The Far Right can be beaten, they offer nothing.

@BBCNews Unlike the UK, NL is a coalition country. The current poll makes a leftwing government impossible. A right-wing coalition would need 4 parties. A right/left mix with lots of friction the same. NL is, by votes, right from the centre.

@UKLabour The NHS is also not free, it gets funded with tax revenue, which is too little and unsustainable all at once. Many EU countries have a healthcare insurance system. Both the poor and the rich are able to use it. There are more options between the NHS and a USA-style system.

In Valencia, Spain, far-left activists are going from establishment to establishment expelling tourists. They chant: “We don’t welcome tourists, only migrants!” What they want is to destroy Western civilization.

@BladeoftheS The banks are a corporation which is taxed. Profits in this case are not once income, just the business. That pays out part of its revenue, which is income subject to income tax like everyone else. The only point that is being made is that corporations pay an additional tax.

The Banks in the UK make £82,000,000,000 a year profit, they pay just 28% tax on that. You pay 28% tax on £12,571+ And 42% on £50,270+ The rich do not pay tax.

@DrSarahEJackson @AshOrgUK @UCL_TARG @UCL_BSH @bmj_latest The misperseption and combatting it startes with policy. Introducing taxes, restrictions and bans lead a negative narative. A tabloit artical feeding misinformation is one thing, confirmation by policy it is a whole other.

In a letter published today in the BMJ, we call for urgent action to correct misperceptions of vaping. As long as public perceptions of vaping are misaligned with evidence, the opportunity for vaping to further reduce smoking is being missed. bmj.com/content/391/bm…

@BGatesIsaPyscho A good store of value to hedge against inflation, tested by time. But a crash to end all crashes implies the end of the whole financial sector. The only way that would be possible would require an event where wealth is the least of your concerns. Crashes are cycles.

@BladeoftheS It was from the start, but the government focused on work in their talking points to drive the point of reducing undocumented workers. But everyone must know that if ppl work undocumented now, they will still work undocumented when it is digital. The government is gaslighting.

@TeamYouTube 2/3 This has most likely cost me job opportunities as I did make job applications this weekend. As I work in a visual field, these videos are critical and a bad link on a job application means a default rejection. Hard to measure, but this has done a lot of personal damage.

@BladeoftheS Former tenant in London. Not saying it is all great, but getting nothing is just a lie. You get a place to live and none of the homeowner's liabilities. The landlord gets all the burden of responsibility. That service, which you are free to accept, obviously comes with a fee.

The average person is expected to pay over £200,000 on rent in their lifetime in UK. With some expected to pay more than £1m. For all that you get... nothing. 25% of UK accomodation is now rented, up from 10% 30 years ago. It's time to Abolish Landlords.
