Probable Gillingham summer outlook 👇
✅ Likely to stay: Dack, Clark, Little
🤔 Decisions: Masterson, Antwi, Williams
❌ Likely to go: Vokes, Morris, McCleary
With Dack back and looking good, he’s now central to everything. Big rebuild window ahead. 🔵⚪️ Great interview after last game by Dack. Refreshing.

@GillsInTheBlood Brilliant interview, honest, disappointed, angry, positive too, he still believe GA is the man but he believes the players around him some are just not good enough. That’s quality to admit that! Well done Dack, great respect.

Brexit changed the travel industry forever, and companies have had to adapt quickly to a very different landscape. In this podcast episode, I sit down with host Gemma Zinyama to talk about how travel entrepreneurship is evolving in the post-Brexit world and how PURE ONE is navigating those changes.
We discuss the challenges facing the travel sector today, from workforce issues in the UK to the growing demand for more meaningful and authentic travel experiences. I also share my own journey, from my early days in the travel industry to building PURE ONE around the idea that independent travellers want something more than just a standard holiday.
The conversation also touches on something more personal, how a major health crisis reshaped my outlook on leadership, resilience, and the future direction of my work and life. If you’re interested in the future of travel, entrepreneurship, and the human side of building a business, you may find it an interesting listen.

Sometimes the modern world forgets something very simple: not everything is about promotion. I recently reflected on how easily genuine acts of kindness can be misunderstood online. In a culture dominated by personal branding, marketing, and constant visibility, even small gestures of generosity can sometimes be viewed with suspicion.
But kindness still matters. And perhaps now more than ever. I wrote a short article exploring why kindness is sometimes mistaken for promotion and how our online culture may be losing sight of simple goodwill. If we want better communities, online and offline, we need to recognise generosity when we see it. Please do share the post and article.

Hegseth wrong again to say 'first torpedo sinking since WW2'. US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth told reporters that a US submarine sank an Iranian warship in the Indian Ocean with a torpedo. He claimed it represented “the first sinking of an enemy ship by a torpedo since World War Two”.
This is not correct.
During the Falklands War in 1982, Argentina's only cruiser - the General Belgrano - sank in the South Atlantic after being struck by two torpedoes fired by a British nuclear-powered submarine.
Another sinking occurred in 1971, after Indian frigate INS Khukri was torpedoed by a Pakistan submarine, external.
However, if confirmed, the sinking of the Iranian warship would be the first time since 1945 that an American submarine has sunk an enemy ship this way.

10 years ago, as the Brexit referendum campaign started in earnest, many Leavers were convinced not only that Britain should leave the EU, but that it would be such a rip-roaring success that other European nations, seeing this new, gilded Singapore-on-Thames across the channel, would be queuing up to do likewise.
Most infamously, Daniel Hannan, former MEP, Conservative peer and an idiot’s idea of a clever person, penned an essay of what post-Brexit life would be like come June 2025. He imagined Britain leading the world, as it did during the Industrial Revolution. Denmark, Ireland and the Netherlands would be the first to join us on the life rafts, he claimed.
We must re-join the EU as fast as possible. It was the biggest mistake in British political history, but that is fine; mistakes happen. Let's just get back in.

My view is, he said that they had a project, in the interview this week he said the club was ahead of the project plan and had overachieved earlier in the season. I believe the project is playoffs or promotion year two. If that is the plan then this season was about gradual rebuilding of the squad. Logically they are only two transfer windows in out of four. So what we don’t know is contracts coming to an end and agreements, so taking that picture, has GA made progress, yes he has, will he succeed, well we do know the future, we can hope. We have fourteen games left, I think we will win 5, draw 3 and lose the rest. I believe that GA will bring in five or six players maybe more in the summer and he will offload three or four. So when we start next season we will have a far different squad. Many tipped The Gills to finish between five and eighth, that is still possible but unlikely. Give GA respect, he had major heart operation before that we were a challenger, since return, it’s been tough, he came back to a losing team with injuries. 🤞🏻

So we do what?
Replace him, watch this motley crew pick up for a new man & con him into giving them new deals then do the same with him this time next year.
It’s been proven now beyond any reasonable doubt the issue is with the vast majority of this playing group.

It is time to admit that the Ainsworth era at #Gills needs to come to an end. Whatever this 2-year plan was, it hasn’t worked, our results, performances & tactical setup is simply unacceptable. We haven’t progressed, in fact we have regressed. Time is up #UpTheGills #GFC

King Charles has without doubt truly made an impact on global climate crisis and on how the U.K. should be seen overseas, as well as driving for improvement in designs of houses and living standards in the U.K.
