At the 171st AGM today Tommy Oliver was elected as President, with Madge McGeouch as Vice President. Joining the Committee for the 1st time are Bob McVey, Ron McKinlay & Stuart Beresford. The high level of member engagement in the AGM process is much appreciated.

We are holding a Christmas Party Night on Saturday 7th December from 7pm at the Clubhouse! There will be a DJ on hand to play some Christmas classics along with events such as Bingo, a festive themed Quiz & a Raffle! Tickets will cost only £5pp with the event open to ALL!

Delighted to confirm we got 9 new members today as part of our Kirkintilloch Canal Festival Try Bowls day! We also had numerous people come & try bowls for the 1st time, hopefully they will go on to become bowlers at some point in the future! #WBC

The funeral of Iris MacKinnon (Byron) will take place on Tuesday 3rd September at 12 noon, at Daldowie Crematorium (G71 7RU). Although it will be a very sad day, everyone is welcome to come and celebrate Iris' life.

...Iris will be missed not just by her close friends and family but the countless connections she has made across the local bowling scene. Funeral details will be shared at a later date.

...at the start of the 2023 season, an honour she was delighted to receive. Outwith Westermains, Iris was a long standing and respected Umpire and also a Past President of Cumbernauld Indoor Bowling Club...

It is with great sadness that we share the news that Iris MacKinnon (Byron) passed away on the 22nd of August after a short illness, at the age of 91. Iris was a member of Westermains for 46 years, having joined in 1978. During this time Iris represented the Club with...

It is with great sadness that we share the news that President Willie Watson passed away on 15th of March. Willie was a member of Westermains for many years, his work around the Club has been unrivalled in ensuring the Club & Clubhouse have remained in excellent condition.. 1/3
