Vince Penticost AWPF It is with great sadness that Western Valley CC announces the passing of their well-respected and much loved Chairman, Vince Penticost AWPF. As a club we will miss him, along with his sense of humour, catch phrases & his honest and wonderful critique.

Congratulations to club member Steve Hawker AWPF who has had three print images accepted in the 2024 Welsh Salon.

Thanks to Elisa Best who visited the club last night and gave a very informative talk about Kruger National Park. Including loads of useful info about travel, accommodation & the options for seeing the amazing wildlife. Also some amazing images to show us all what we're missing!

This Thursday we have a treat for all you nature lovers/photographers! Elisa Best is visiting the club for the 1st time with her Kruger Game Park presentation. Looking forward to a good turn out!!!!

I'd never seem images quite like this, or heard of the Adamski Effect The Adamski effect was created by Josh Adamski. It uses blur techniques to create the illusion of movement, & you choose to isolate figures/elements in the photo and leave them un-blurred. Like it or loathe it?

Thanks to all members who came to the Awards 2023 night last night. Congratulations to all those who won trophies. It was lovely to see a slideshow of all images entered this year. It showed what a good standard our images are and what we are capable of.

A good night last night at our annual Print and DPI of the year. Congratulations to all club members for the quality of the entries. Thanks go to Ken Jacob as our judge for the night who did a wonderful job.

To confirm that this Thursday we have our very own @AmberWilding giving us a talk about her recent explolts in the world of Cosplay. A good turnout would be nice along with some cakes for me ;)

This Thursday we have an out and about planned to Cardiff Bay. Meeting at the glass waterfall structure outside the Wales Millenium Centre at 7.30pm. Get there earlier if you wish of course. Forecast is not great so keep an eye out for updates ....
