@20th_Centurygal Personally, I’d love to hear them. But the artist’s wishes should be honored.

@20th_Centurygal More Than a Feeling is as perfect a song as one can create. The fact that it was most everyone’s introduction to Boston and how it fades in on the record makes it all the more memorable.

@Hot_Pepper76 Two amazing voices. Freddie was in a different realm as far as dynamic frontmen go.

Steve Perry or Freddie Mercury is one of those debates where nobody really loses.
Pure vocal power and stage command?
Freddie probably takes it.
Warmth, emotion, and that instantly recognizable soaring melodic voice?
Steve Perry all day.
Freddie could dominate a stadium.
Perry could make a car radio sound emotional at a stoplight.
If I had to pick one voice to listen to for an entire evening, probably Perry.
If I had to pick one frontman to watch live in his prime, Mercury.
Who are you picking?

@20th_Centurygal Gilmour’s. Then I’d sell it, acquire the EVH guitar and invest the difference!

@CriddleBenjamin @espnthefan Incredibly, Portland had the No.2 pick when they took Bowie. Houston had No.1 and took Olajuwon. Chicago got Jordan with the third pick.

Darnell Dickson of the Daily Herald joined @espnthefan to react to the NBA Draft Lottery:
Q: What do you make of the NBA lottery?
Darnell Dickson: Well, it’s a conspiracy theory by most Jazz fans that the NBA is conspiring to keep them out of the number one pick. But they got two, and that’s great. They have a lot of options because of all the trades they’ve done and the picks they have. So if they want to trade up, they certainly have that option. I’m sure Washington would love to, if they’re going to trade, get a bunch for it.
There are great players in that top eight to ten range in this draft. I think AJ can fit just about anywhere. One thing about the NBA that’s interesting—going way back—the Portland Trail Blazers had the number one pick and didn’t take Michael Jordan because they already had Clyde Drexler, so they took Sam Bowie, who was a marginal NBA player instead of the greatest player ever.
Do you think Michael Jordan and Clyde Drexler could have played together? Of course they could have. Sometimes the NBA gets too caught up in “we already have guys at that position.” Some guys transcend that. I think AJ has that opportunity.

@20th_Centurygal Eddie Van Halen. Thankfully, I got the chance to do just that. (By phone.) An amazing experience.
