Members of the District Handpump Mechanic Associations are trained as professional preventive maintenance technicians with responsibility for continuous functionality of handpumps.

Namugera (Subcounty Government Community Development Officer) and Kiwanuka (Parish Chief) meet community water committee to discuss the new government guidelines on hand pump functionality.

Whave helps implement the national water maintenance framework. We work closely with local and central government. Here, Milly Nabaggala, the Senior Administrative Secretary (Subcounty Chief) of Kalaangalo explains the district planning to a Whave Service Officer, Carol Anyait.

Amina Kyabaangi is a Whave service technician in Manyi subcounty, Mityana. She services pumps regularly and makes sure water is flowing everyday.
